The Decor and it was on ground floor so no stairs.

The area looked sketchy. Dim lights at night with dark alleyways. The description is not accurate. It's a shared accommodation. The neighbour living upstairs met me to give keys and told me he's helping out the host. I only had the key to the space I was staying in and not the main front door. Later neighbour provided main front door key to be kept in main door, which means i can't lock door if i go out and take key with me or i could be locked out if neighbour assumes i am sleeping. I could hear people walking in and out. The main door is so squeaky,so i felt like i had to tip toe coming in and going outside to not disturb neighbour upstairs. After complaining to Booking.com, the host called me and was aggressive. I left the following day as I was uncomfortable. As a single female, privacy is key. The neighbour was a male. Very kind gentleman, but if you are not familiar with York and don't have connections there, this particular accommodation will make you feel intimidated. Even after leaving the following day and not completing my stay. The host Andrew asked me for feedback. My feedback was disregarded. The messages sent to me by host regarding my stay are misleading to Booking.com as he is trying to make it look like I completed my stay. Fortunately for myself, I was able to provide Booking.com with evidence and time stamps. The issue is still in the process of being resolved.
