No 31 Promenade APARTMENT by the sea

The property was in great location and very spacious

The cushions were dirty and the furniture in the bedroom was sticky to touch and also dirty which was a put off. The bed isn’t attached to the head board so moves around and is really annoying. There are health and safety issues which were shared with the owner like a really heavy electric box which had no proper fittings and was attached with magnets which fell off the wall in the night. The house alarm went off at 2am on the second night and the front door was hard to open. There was no instructions what to do when house or fire alarm went off. The property had no proper entrance you have to climb over a small wall and get your cases over it. The front door was hard to open and paint work was scruffy. The water system makes a really horrible loud noise when toilet is flushed or shower used. Had awful night sleep because of all these issues. The lady who I dealt with and shared these problems with did not give a care or apologised for any of the inconveniences which was unfortunate. I booked based on the previous reviews but sadly was left really disappointed and spoke to extremely rudely with no compassion or offer of compensation.

Everything, well equipped, decor amazing. Lots of little extras. Milk in the fridge on arrival along with a selection of teas and coffee was a lovely surprise. Beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfy, best nights sleep I’ve had while away. Communication with owner was superb too. The flat is far better than the photos show. I had my morning coffee at the top of the stairs to appreciate the view of the seafront.

Nothing to dislike.

Parking was an issue, but found North Road car park within 5 minute walk and easy to get to with trolley case, but to be fair that is pointed out on the description.

The flat has all the facilities I could possibly want, regardless of whether I was cooking for myself or bringing home takeaway. The location is perfect for one who likes to head out and walk until they find something interesting to look at.

The view leaves a lot to be desired but, for the price, that's to be expected. And the site was honest about this. Could have really used more instructions when I got there, like how to put heating on, or the blinds built into the living room window (which I didn't notice till 11pm).

The apartment was furnished very well, its very spacious, bed very comfy. We found slippers and dressing gowns all ready for us in the wardrobe, fresh milk in the fridge and it felt like a safe place to be. We had no problem with on street parking on side streets during the day and outside the apartment overnight. Excellent location. We will definitely stay here again
