Old City Gem Flat

Good walking distance to city, very quiet except perhaps odd noisy car parking in the cul de sac late at night. Sofa bed was very easy to set up and one of the highest standard of sofa beds we have come across to date. Good fridge and freezer storage. Decor was very nice.

Issues with lack of suitable cups and a trivet for trays from oven was sorted promptly by Kristine with an Amazon delivery. Listings had said toiletries, there was only a large bottle of shampoo and a hard bar of soap that looked like it had been already used and was not hygienic. It would have been useful to have had a hairdryer and a folding chair or stool to allow the 3rd member in our party sit at the kitchen table to eat. Bed was not as comfortable as we are used to.

It was very quiet and peaceful and cozy, and once I had brought to the attention of the owners some issues they did do their very best to resolve them as best they could

This is a self catering property with a fully equipped kitchen and yet I discovered many common utensils missing that are frequently used in meal preparation so that made preparing meals difficult. There were no carving or chefs knives, vegetable peelers, whisks, kitchen, scissors, or spatulas. The owners did order a set of knives for me and they arrived the day before I left. They did tell me that they knew the knives were missing, but they just hadn’t replaced them. The other utensils I mentioned they were not even aware that they weren’t there. They did try hard to remedy the situation, but really they should be keeping on top of their inventory and making sure that everything is in place before the guest checks in. There was also a problem with the light above the cooktop and one of the bedside lamps in the bedroom had no lightbulb at all. if the owners were able to keep on top of these things and keep everything in good working order, I would give them a 10

That host was very helpful and informative. It was a lovely, comfortable flat with everything we needed. Great location too. Highly recommend.

Kristine’s place is stunning, and we’ve had a relaxing stay. The bed was so comfortable we had a hard time leaving it in the morning 😊 The instructions for check in are simple and everything that you would need is provided, and the flat itself well-thought - we had no issues at all. It also helps that everything in town is within walking distance, but if you prefer to catch a bus there are two bus stops nearby. It might be one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in Airbnb.
