Host & Stay - Feversham House

The location was great, only a 5-minute stroll into town. The apartment was fine for a couple, and it had enough space to not feel too claustrophobic for a three-night stay.

Many of the points about what could be improved are already mentioned in other reviews, which leads me to believe there is no intention to take them on board. Prior to staying - you will get far too many messages from the 'host', which are just marketing messages trying to get you to book extras such as hiring a personal chef. Smell of drains - there is clearly a blockage somewhere in the bathroom, and judging by the other reviews, it has been there for some time. It makes the bathroom smell of sewage. Toilet flusher - the toilet flushes fine, but one of the flush buttons no longer works. This is a sign of poor repair. Bathroom fan - once switched off, it stays on for some time, which is normal, but it creates a huge racket which reverberates around the whole apartment - it is so loud you can hear it from outside the apartment front door. Kitchen - is modern but lacks basic equipment. For example, it has 4 dinner plates, 3 breakfast bowls, and only 2 side plates. It has a large dishwasher, but it's impossible to accumulate enough dirty plates to fill it up. Wardrobe - the sliding door on the wardrobe is stuck, meaning you can't open and close it. It's probably something as simple as having come off its track, but this is a known issue, and no one has cared enough to rectify it. Cleanliness - one of the things I found most disappointing was being charged an additional £50 as a cleaning fee as soon as my booking was confirmed. It's probably buried somewhere in the T&Cs, but it was a surprise nonetheless. I wouldn't have minded so much, but I can't see any evidence of £50 worth of cleaning - cobwebs in the kitchen, dirt trapped in the extractor fan in the bathroom, black mould in certain sections of the bathroom grouting. Fire alarm - we were woken up on our third day at 7.30 in the morning due to the alarm going off in the entire building.

Fantastic location, just minutes from the city centre. The apartment has most things that you need for a self-catering stay. The bed was very comfortable and everything worked.

The apartment smelled a bit musty on arrival, but you get used to it after a while. It could benefit from a deep clean. The bathroom has a sewage smell, so that needs some attention too!

Location/ and parking for a small car(large car would struggle to park)

Needs a deep clean cobwebs everywhere layers of dust on all lights/extractor above shower fan needs cleaned/ glass wardrobe doors need attention /and cleaning,grease film on / had to open all windows wide for a while as to foist smells (was ok after few hrs of fresh air)

The location was spot on, the waterfall shower was gorgeous, the bed was ok a little small for 2, lots of stairs to gdt go thd apartment, but overall very nice.

Right the parking space is very very tight, i have a small suv vw t rock, my partner had to get into the car thru the passenger door to let me into the drivers side, i have a small scratch on the drivers door due to the next space opening their door onto my door.
