The Apple Loft

Good location, small and compact but a perfect base for our travels. It was clean and comfortable and the hosts were very welcoming.

Nothing, it's was as expected and lovely.

We could see from the photos that the Apple Loft was small but it has been really well designed and we were comfortable and able to make our evening meals using the microwave and kettle. You don't want to be a large person in the bathroom! Wifi was good.

It was as advertised.

Lovely area and accommodation

The setting, peaceful and pretty. Everything I needed was provided. Friendly and helpful owners. Located equally between Southwold and Aldeburgh both of which I wanted to visit. Also Dunwich Heath very close by, great place for walking, also peaceful and on the coast.

I didn't particularly like washing up dishes in bathroom sink but knew that was the case when I booked. A very small thing as the rest of the apartment is lovely.

We stayed for 2 nights on our first trip to the Suffolk area and The Apple Loft was a perfect base. The room had everything we needed, and the bed was so comfy. It was exceptionally clean and tidy, and we settled in straight away. The location was great for exploring the area and we visited Southwold, Aldeburgh, Dunwich Beach and Framlingham which were all lovely. There's so many nice pubs and places to eat locally. We'd recommend fish and chips at Aldeburgh Fish & Chip Shop which we ate on the seafront. We also had breakfast at Duchies Cafe in Southwold which was excellent. The communication with the owner, Barbara, was excellent. We were sent easy instructions on how to find and access the property. Their house and gardens are beautiful. We definitely hope to stay again.

Upon our arrival the hostess, Barbara, welcomed us and signposted everything we'd need to know! Ample (free) parking on location. We took trips to the relatively nearby Co-op and Tesco Express on consecutive days (having taken in Southwold and Aldeburgh respectively) because included in the room is a regular sized fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave, and proper cutlery! Also included is washing up liquid, a rinser, tea towel and even a Hetty vacuum should we have required it! Although we didn't use it, there's a built-in DVD player within the TV, so there's another avenue for entertainment along with a decent selection of books, too. Very clean and extremely quiet - it was a much-needed, tranquil getaway, and we'll certainly be returning. Thank you!

I didn't like my personal spacial awareness at times - it IS a loft after all, so I'll be more mindful to avoid hitting my head!
