It was self catering

A few small thing could be improved such as the latch on the downstairs bathroom needs to be repaired, a small bin in the bathroom would be a good idea...

"House is OK but tatty around the edges"

The house itself was OK spacious and bright

It was tatty around the edges for instance the washer was unusable as the plug was damaged. There was damage to flooring and window handles. No kitchen towels and the garden was too overgrown to use for my little one. Bedroom furniture was dated but usable

"Leigh Sports Village alternative."

Leigh sports village just a few minutes away. If that is your destination you can save plenty money over the hotels in the village.

The weather. But December is what it is.
