I loved the layout and the high ceilings. The kitchen and living room are great and very big, also the location and view of Arthur's Seat were amazing!

I asked multuple times if we could check in early and couldn't get a clear answer at all. It would be completely fair to say no, because the listing does state that check in is at 4, so we would have gone somewhere and respected the time had we been told no. However, everytime we asked about early check in, we were told "we will let you know on the morning of" (they didn't, I had to ask again) and "we will send you a message as soon as the place is ready" (from which one could deduce the place would maybe be ready earlier than the time stated), so we hung around at the local coffee shop with all of our luggage for two hours wasting time until 4pm because we thought we could check in even at 3pm. If we had just been told no, that would have been totally okay, we would have had a definitive answer and we would have gone about our business. The place was not as clean as it should have been for the price, the shelves had visible dust on it and I had to clean it with a wet towel before putting my stuff on it. The carpets also could have been cleaner.

Lovely flat, nice and warm in the cold weather, and with everything we needed. Plus a perfect view of Arthur's Seat!

It was great. I missed the check-in email as I was expecting a text, so check-in was murky, but that was my fault. Would have liked to have a written instruction book with general info and local restaurants/attractions suggestions at the property. Parking was an issue, but we just found a spot and took the £50 ticket.

Location was excellent. The property was comfortable with windows overlooking a park and Arthur's seat. It was pleasant. The clothes drying rack that pulled up to the ceiling was a gem - it would be helpful to other guests to let them know that it is available. The large kitchen was also helpful.

The state of the available cooking utensils, oven dishes, glass ware and cutlery was very disappointing. I had to wash anything that I used by hand prior to using. There was visible food scraps still on cooking utensils and oven dishes. Knives and forks were visibly dirty also. The warmth of the home was too hot most of the time. We opened windows in lounge and kitchen to allow ventilation of the property with air flow throughout. The assumption that all guests have subscriptions to streaming services was disappointing as this left us unable to watch the TV. The number of emails received by the property management team was overwhelming with at times unhelpful information. I was even asked to post pictures on their site on day one of our stay. This was unnecessary and very annoying. When I needed help to gain access to free to air TV there was no response to my direct question. Later that evening around 9.30pm I received another email asking me if I had fixed the TV issue. This was disappointing. The shower space is very small requiring some flexibility. The spiral staircase was a bit tricky with a large suitcase.

Fantastic view of Arthur’s Seat and great location being close to the Royal Mile, grocery store and hiking. Easy communication and contact with the host. Apartment was very comfortable and clean. Really enjoyed our stay.
