The Studio is perfect for short stays in so many ways. Everything is well thought of, clean, practical and cosy. Our stay there was for two nights and upon our arrival Jill's hospitality was nothing short of a wonderful and a warm welcome. Everything from the place being warmed ready for us to her taking an interest in our time in chesterfield to what there is to do and what to look out for was heartwarming. We would definitely recommend and will hopefully returning again.

Jill, the host, is lovely, and had thoughtfully provided some extra Christmasy goodies along with breakfast. The apartment is well thought out and comfortable, it has everything you need! We've stayed here several times now and will come again. I would recommend to anyone coming to the area.

My host provided more than I was expecting, facilities, food and drinks. Really excellent.

This cozy studio has a full shower room and a cleverly designed small kitchen plus a comfortable double bed and full internet and tv . It would be particularly good value for a couple visiting the Peak District which is about ten minutes from the door. It was easy to keep in touch with work and the breakfast bar was comfortable for both eating and typing. There are armchairs if you prefer to sit up to watch tv. There is outside courtyard space for warmer weather. Basic catering goods to get you going are available and the host was careful - at such short notice - to offer to get anything the visitor needed. The kitchen is thoughtfully designed with a fridge and icebox, a 2 ring halogen hob and extractor fan, full size sink, and a built-in combined microwave and cooking oven, easy to work. Thus it keeps catering costs down. There are convenience stores and supermarkets a short drive away. There is also an ironing board and iron, and all the necessary cookware, toaster and kettle. The fixings for a continental breakfast were supplied; bread, baked goods, cereals and eggs. Butter and jam and milk were in the fridge. Coffee, tea and peppermint teabags were available, including ground coffee for those who prefer a cafetiere. All teatowels and cleaning products were supplied. The shower room has a superior shower with a drench head and a hand set, and is flat-entry and generously sized. The water was hot and at a proper pressure. Towels and toiletries were supplied and generous. The location was not remote but it was exceptionally quiet and peaceful, tucked in to a residential area.

The only slight drawback is that parking is on the street at the bottom of the drive, but as it is quiet this is not a problem. Please be aware that this is a first floor studio and there is a higher step in to the courtyard, which may not suit those with serious mobility issues. Visitors need to be able to manage twelve stairs and there is a hand rail.

A warm, friendly, safe and expertly created studio apartment, above the garage, adjacent to the home of Gill and Terry. Everything needed for an overnight stay which included breakfast provisions. A warm friendly greeting upon arrival set the scene for a splendid evening and a comfortable night’s sleep. This is highly rated on Booking.com and rightly so.

Just as the pictures show, a clean cosy studio, with all you could need. The bed was so comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, a hamper with pastries, eggs, fresh bread, jam, marmalade, butter, milk and a selection of cereals. Tea and coffee . there was a selection of DVDs, books and board games as well. It really was a perfect stay, quiet peaceful location, the lady was very friendly and recommended a couple of good walks for us, Perfect location for the peak district .
