4 sleeps and travel cot- close to beach and restaurants

Big space. Self-contained. Reasonable quality conversion (if a little tired in places)

Took months and multiple messages to confirm cot request.Asked for details re check-in and security deposit for any time bar Sat morning as running an ultra. Got a call mid race to sort. Subsequently, wife and baby travelling separately found other people at property at check-in. Whilst that issue may not have been wholly the owners issue, very limited support to resolve situation and I suspect the don't rotate their key code enough so people see it as an easy mark. Basement area where cot setup very musty (damp issues); had to move cot upstairs ourselves. Flat getting tired in places. Had to chase to get security deposit returned.

The location and price were great and we didn't really have high expectations, just needed a bed for the night before an early ferry departure. The host was also friendly in initial communications. Cleanliness could be improved, especially bedding in the cupboard which did not smell great, but in the end we decided not to use the kitchen or shower and washed on the ferry instead. I was uneasy giving my credit card number to someone, so the host arranged for me to be able to send a bank transfer for the deposit. I wish this had been clearer at the time of booking however, as we believed any payment should be done through booking.com and not by phone privately, so it caused stress before we travelled. There was a damp smell as others have mentioned, but not too strong as we didn't use the basement and left the door closed.

I didn't appreciate having to chase for the return of my deposit. We were told his return payment had bounced back when I chased after 48 hours, which made little sense as I had sent the payment from my bank account, so details were correct. I keep very little money in that particular UK account and needed it back, so it caused a great deal of stress and upset. We did get it back after 3 days, but this is really not acceptable. We left the apartment exactly as we found it (as confirmed by the host sending back the full deposit) and so felt needing to chase up payment was not ok. Three days may not be long for our host, but when you are promised 24-48 hours, this can have a real impact.

Easy to get to, enough space.

This was a perfect for what we needed. A nice cosy quiet little space to stay. We managed to park right outside as there was plenty of free parking which was a bonus. Very clean and tidy.

There wasnt really anything, we just had a really short overnight stay so perfect for us.

The property was very clean

Not enough natural light, all the windows opened onto a dirty looking yard. The tv continually buffered so we were unable to watch it at all, this was a shame as there were lots of channels on offer.
