Redbanks Apartment

The apartment was considerably larger than expected. In addition to the 2 good sized bedrooms there were 2 bathrooms, which was a bonus. The kitchen and eating area were a very generous size as was the living room.

It was a bit tricky to find as there is just a small sign in the gate post at the end of the property where it exits onto the road and the road is not the main road. A local person in one of the shops was able to help us out. I would just be sure to ask for good directions when you book.

The property is perfectly positioned for a trip to Ambleside and for exploring the Lakes more widely. Easy access to on street parking and local car park for additional vehicles. Bedrooms are a good size, kitchen is well equipped and bathroom and en-suite are good quality.

There is no really outdoor space which is clear from the advertising but we visited during a hot weekend and an area to sit outside would have been lovely.

Great property, very modern and clean. Location very central and in walking distance from shops/pubs/restaurants We travelled to Scaffel Pike which was 1hr30 in a car, overall great stay and we would return

The property was spacious, clean and well furnished. The location was excellent, right in the centre of Ambleside.

There was a terrible smell coming from the en-suite bathroom and it filled the whole apartment. We had to keep the plug closed in the sink, close the bathroom door, and not use the bathroom for our whole stay and even then we could still smell it in the other living areas. Such a shame as it spoiled the experience. There were also a couple of other minor issues like 2 out of 3 bulbs being blown in the bedroom ceiling light
