Herons Rest

The Herons Nest is a lovely self contained appartment with a well designed living room, large double bedroom (with a very comfortable double bed), en-suite bathroom and well stocked kitchen. There is also an adjacent outdoor seating area with a barbecue provided and access to the riverside area next to the main property with additional seating and picnic tables etc. Drumnadrochit town centre is a short drive away with places to eat and shop (lots of gift shops), a Co-op and a petrol station. John the host was very friendly, informative about the local area and easy to talk to. We couldn't really have asked for more.

une adorabl maisonnette , très joliment agencée, confortable, bien équipée, petit coin repas dans la cuisine, salon agréable, au calme dans la verdure, une rivière à 150 mètres, un cadre bucolique, plein de charme. Nous serions encore resté , si nous avions pu. Merci aux hôtes.

The cottage was clean and comfortable. Catherine was easy to communicate with and was very responsive. The cottage had everything we needed to cook a couple of simple meals. There were also little touches like breakfast spreads and chocolate biscuits. It’s a great location.

Lovely TV but as far as I could ascertain I would have needed a HDMI connection cable or a caster to make it function. I am over 30 though so it may just be me!
