Violet Mays Haven

The location was ideal for visiting the Dawlish coastline. A 20 min walk to the train station and the ferry so we caught the the train along the coast line hoping on and off at different locations. ther are two local pubs that do good food withing a 5 min walk from the accommodation and Trish our host was wvery welcoming. The hottub was a welcome bonus after a long day out site seeing.

The Toilet has no door and is covered by a net. whilst it wasnt a major issue for us, I can see how it would be for most people. its such an easy fix to put a vcheap slidding door on and would make the world of difference. Whilst the local pubs are only 5 min walk, on the way back its all up hill and a steep one at that. if you have walking difficulties then this is not for you but saying that, our lovely host Trish, did offer for us to call her anytime and she would gladly pick us up.

Location and the view of the estuary was good.

Flat was ok but the outside area was scruffy and looked out of keeping with the area. Kitchen poorly equipped and a real mish mash of items. Three teaspoons and NO tin opener. NO DOOR on bathroom which we felt was very poor.

The only thing was the mattress was to hard so didn't sleep well but everything was wonderful

Lovely view. Nice and clean. Thoughtful plate of scones and cream on arrival.

No door on bathroom. Apartment was nicely decorated and clean but property outside and in surrounding building needs attention.

Perfect for one night stay whilst walking south west coastal path.

Lovely little chalet, Trica was a lovely host. We just wanted something located where it was quiet just to get some peace and not be Mum and Dad. We were welcomed with scones, jam, cream, cakes and chocolate biscuits also tea making facilities were provided. The view was amazing, looking over at Exmouth Beach. Beautiful at night. 2 local pubs just in walking distance, both very friendly and nice food. Hot tub at the chalet but we ended up not using it, just ended up taking a long walk around the area.

The bed wasn't to our preference, more of a firm mattress.
