It was convenient for the Dunkertons cider barn. It was a lovely location and very well kept.

The bed was like sleeping on a piece of hardboard, all my joints ached when I got up

My own fault but I returned at about midnight due work commitment (aka;- pub-talk) and although I had been warned about (and I had make a mental note of) the code for the padlock on the gate that goes on late in the evening I found myself struggling to work out where to line-up the numbers in the semi-darkness. Perhaps a picture of the padlock alongside the postcard (with the code on it) would have helped and/or some white-paint on the padlock itself making it clear which side of the padlock you need to be looking at. Ideally the padlock would only allow you to see the numbers if they were in a "window" without other numbers on the same spool being visible at the same time ~ not a big problem just a suggestion.

Really great little spot to have a break. Beautiful farmhouse location with some great scenery and historic local area. I was attending an event down the road so I didn't spend very long in the property. The kitchen was very good, everything you need to cook a meal, bathroom was great, very nice shower, great water pressure. Bedroom small, but fine for a one night stay for one person. Any more people or a longer stay and I would've been looking for a different room I think. I slept OK in the end anyway. The host Sue was very nice and I enjoyed my stay, I would probably book again although I would go for a larger cabin next time I think.

Shower was a little small for me, but it was OK, I'm 6"1' not massively overweigth but not super skinny, a larger person would struggle in this shower. The bed although really clean and tidy was a bit hard, could do with a topper to be honest, but totally fine for one person one night.

Perfect place to stay.
