Self contained accommodation near Delamere forest

Perfect night away. Everything we could need there. Peaceful and relaxing.

The couch was a little small & the arms are hard so not easy to relax on with 2 people but the space is super cosy.

The apartment had everything we could have needed for a weekend away. We were attending a family function nearby and it was the perfect home from home for 2 nights away.

The outside of the property was not inviting. After asking where it was (we could not see anywhere that appeared to be habitable from the outside) we walked past a window which was just a builders site inside so wrote it off but eventually we tried the key and it fitted. The "builders site" room was blocked off. The outside approach was scruffy, door was dirty and outside furniture too. It was just not appealing. The biggest issue we had was that the bathroom facilities were downstairs, had i gave known this I would never have booked. If you get up in the night you would have had to light up the lounge to get downstairs safely, then you are awake !! Being a person who has stayed in self catering a lot with work I was surprised to see food in the cupboards. I do not like that at all. A welcome pack is different. We did not stay long enough to check anything else I.e the fridge. The owner seemed surprised when we approached her and although we got Booking.com involved she would not consider a refund if any amount as a gesture . Oh finally don't stay here if you are tall my husband is 6ft and he would have struggled

Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean self contained accommodation with everything required.

Be aware steep steps to bathroom might not suit elderly people.

Very clean, everything we needed was provided. Very helpful and courteous hosts.

Lovely quiet location, well-appointed property suitable for short stay.

Would have benefitted from a wardrobe/hanging rail in the bedroom to hang clothes and particularly if staying more than 1 night - otherwise have to store clothes in suitcase/travel bags. Signage to the cottage would also be helpful, once through main gate, to avoid need to disturb host since unclear who h building is property.
