Sewerage smell on top floor but believe this is due to be sorted

Lovely spacious lounge, first floor bedroom and bathroom. The additional bathroom on the top floor was a pleasant surprise. It meant I could enjoy a nice long soak in the bath after cycling the Mawddach trail, without upsetting my friends. The welcome basket of treats was also much appreciated.

The property was a little difficult to find, but having visited Dolgellau before and being aware there were one way streets, we knew this would be a case of parking where we could and finding the house on foot. Once we'd located the house, we had no problems finding parking nearby.

Location is good, nice little village, near to good walks, coed y brenin, cadair idris. Well equipped, clean house, nice fresh sheets and towels, washing machine very useful. Good appliances.

Kitchen is very small, so difficult for more than one person to cook at a time, although it is well equipped. Parking is up the road, slightly annoying after a day out. Shared path to garden meant I couldn't just let my dog out without being escorted, although neighbour is nice and considerate. King size bed very soft. Sofas not very comfortable.

Bedrooms are beautiful and very comfortable. Lovely location in Dolgellau and loved the welcome basket!! Amazing value for money and helpful host.

Kitchen quite small so difficult to cook large meal but nice pubs nearby so not a big deal!

We chose Glasfryn for its location as we wanted to climb Cader Idris on Saturday. The property is in Dolgellau close to cafes, pubs and shops. From the description it looked cosy and it was just that. Lovely.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

The cottage was very clean and tidy, the welcome pack was lovely thank you. The kitchen was well equipped. The cottage was in a good position for walking and accessing Dolgellau.

Although the cottage is described as dog friendly the small paved garden area could only be accessed across a communal path and steep steps. To avoid disturbing the neighbour's dogs and cat which used the same path to access their unfenced garden we had to walk our dog out to the local fields every morning and evening. We noticed on the last morning that one of their dogs had messed outside our back door. We didn't have a pen available to write a note to warn the cleaners, sorry! It wasn't clear to me when booking that we wouldn't have direct access to the garden. The garden and the view from the back of the cottage is also a bit run down.

Perfect location for a Cadair idris hike. Everything you could have wished for was left in the property and honestly would stay again.
