Sandalwood Apartment - Saltburn by the Sea

The apartment was very well decorated, the settees were comfortable and clean, the kitchen area was stocked well with plenty of pots and pans and crockery. The bathroom was compact and clean the shower worked well, with plenty of hot water.. The bed was very comfortable with nice bedding, also small television in both bedrooms. There was a very nice television in the lounge, which if you had subscriptions to Prime, Netflix or disney you could use. There was also wifi which was very nice as a lot of apartments do not have. When we arrived the owners had left us plenty of tea bag, coffee and a bottle of milk plus s nice gesture of a bar of Cadbury milk chocolate. The town of Saltburn by the sea had plenty of shops, restaurants and coffee shops. It was situated very close to the beach, you could see the sea from the lounge window.

The oven could do with a good clean it looked as if people had used it and not bothered to clean it after use so consequently we declined to use it. There was a large storage footrest which held some blankets which smelt very strongly of dogs. These were only minor issues which did not spoil our stay.

Love this flat! Have stayed before. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay and is very spacious, quiet and in a great location close to the Cliff Lift and town centre. Saltburn is a beautiful seaside spot with some excellent bars and restaurants and other attractions close by ( Whitby, Staithes, Robin Hoods Bay etc ).

Lots of space. Real comfort. Nice touch to provide tea, coffee, milk and other essentials. Chocolate bar was a kind gesture. Great bathroom.

Outdoor area was a bit grim.

Great location - short walk to the seafront. Clean, comfortable and great communication from the hosts.

The apartment felt like Home. Loved all the little touches, Lorna and Rob thought of everything. Thank you for the milk in the fridge and the Cadburys buttons. We left feeling very relaxed.

Close to shops and beach. Small.outside space useful with dogs

Minimal heating. The electric fire and towel rail a problem to get working. Info in welcome pack regarding these appliances not a real help. Bathroom very small

The apartment itself is first class - and it looked as good as it did on the advertised images, better probably. The location is great, no problem parking for free, and so easy to walk to wherever you wanted to be in Saltburn. Saltburn itself is a real gem of a place - very dog friendly if that is what you need - so many terrific cafes, bars, restaurants, walks and things to do - a Victorian seaside town that looks great but has everything that you want from a long weekend away. Lorna and Rob were excellent to deal with - very informative and quick to respond [Lorna's guest book is an extremely thorough and useful bible for Saltburn and further afield]. The little welcome treats left for us on arrival were such a pleasant surprise. Would highly recommend!
