The Old Post Office Apartment

A beautiful, comfortable, and spacious apartment with everything we needed. It's a great location, too.

Very comfortable (once warm enough - see below), clean and mostly very well-equipped. Good location. Ideal for a couple. Communication with the owner was excellent. Availability of BBC iPlayer, Netflix etc, without passwords was excellent, especially for a winter let

It was very cold for the first c10 hours until the underfloor heating warmed up sufficiently. It would make a huge difference for winter lets if the heating could be switched on first thing on the morning of arrival. Also the instructions for working the heating, oven etc. were either not available or in a drawer where they were not obvious. The instructions, once found, were not intuitive and rather difficult to follow. An 'idiot's guide' would have saved a lot of bother - not least for the host! The number of pans was not enough for anyone who wants to cook their own meals 'from scratch'. Fine if you just want to heat things up in the oven or microwave. The unavailability of a washing machine may have been problematic for longer stays.

Beautiful quiet location, very comfortable and stylish decor. Well equipped and warm. Loved all the succulents and the soft furnishings. We had everything we needed for a very happy stay and you only had to step outside the door to see the sea.

Shower head was a little wobbly and needs tightening. That was the only thing!

Nothing to dislike

How I felt just at home, I really loved staying at the old post office it was a wonderful experience me and my partner loved it. We stayed whole week and we didn’t want to leave. It was very homely and cosy.

The shower the water gets everywhere and the fan didn’t work so it got really steamy and damp. The fire alarm above the oven is very sensitive and we kept setting it off.

Lovely well-appointed flat convenient for the station, shops (steep steps!) and the sea front. Furniture and fittings were all of a high quality and the bed was very comfortable. Spotlessly clean. Helpful hosts and easy-to-follow instructions for finding the place and picking up the key. Tea, coffee and some biscuits provided.

Nothing of substance. A floor mat for the bathroom would have been helpful. There's no real view out from the property itself - but if you step out the front you can see the sea. The door opens directly from the living area to the street which is perhaps not ideal - but it was no real problem.

Instructions for access were perfect and we found the apartment beautifully presented, clean and tidy. Location was great, only a few minutes walk from the centre of Falmouth in one direction, and the beach in the other (note it is quite hilly, but didn't bother us!). We liked the styling touches which have turned an old shop into a lovely little apartment, and found the place perfect for our four night stay.

Nothing. I'd point out that parking can be a little fussy, but you'll always find a space in the end, it just may be a few minutes walk away- no different to any similar busy town.
