Southernwood - Garden Lodge 14

Everything was very straightforward. We picked the keys up from the lockbox and put them back when we left. The room was fine - spacious and clean with facilities for making breakfast and probably other meals if required. It was good to have a sofa. The parking g was good and although there were quite a few people staying there it was very quiet. There was plenty of tea and coffee provided and a fridge for fresh milk and anything else you may want.

En suite was very small. It would have been nice to have some sort of welcome pack and more than one teaspoon.

Nice and easy, clean rooms, essentials ready to go, perfect for a one night stay prior to a race the next morning.

Clean, comfortable and in a convenient location for our trip to the nearby Didcot Civic Centre

There was nothing to dislike about the property

Excellent communication, gorgeous lodge with sitting area / couch and tiny kitchen area with microwave - also toaster and kettle . Spotlessly clean. Would recommend and stay here again

Just a minor thing - I brought my own hairdryer but Would have liked a mirror somewhere near a plug to dry hair. Also if there was a hairdryer it would save having to bring one too.

Nice, well-appointed room. Lovely outlook. Most things you need for a couple of nights' stay. Would use this venue again.

There were a couple of disappointing things, which if rectified would make this an excellent venue. One of the two single beds (the one on the right near the window) was very creaky with a dip in the mattress making sleep difficult. There was no hairdryer, which I've come to expect everywhere I stay and am rarely disappointed. The room has everything else, kitchen area, kettle, toaster, good shower room with toiletries, so a hairdryer would be very helpful. Unfortunately there were a couple of long black hairs on the wall in the shower which had been missed during the clean. I have short hair and my husband is bald, so they weren't ours 😀 Other than these things we were very happy with our stay.

The location is perfect. Easy to access the property. Also it is very quite even though it is on a busy street.

The cleaniness was not the best.
