Iya was een geweldige host! Leukste guesthouse waar we in tijden zijn geweest. Hele goede tips gekregen van Iya, haar wijnkelder mogen bekijken, zelfgemaakte wijn mogen proeven en een fantastisch diner en ontbijt gehad met een top uitzicht op de Kaukasus! Heel veel dank Iya, we komen graag snel terug!

Traditional home-made breakfast and dinner are delicious. The host is very nice and always there to help us. She also provided nice traditional red wine.

Eine Ehepaar vermietet einige wenige Zimmer and der Landstraße die Telavi und Sighnaghi verbindet; die Unterkunft ist riesig und befindet sich in einem sehr schönen Garten; Ia ist sehr herzlich ubs spricht sehr gut Englisch; ihr ist ein persönlicher Kontakt zu ihren Gästen wichtig; wir haben 2x zu Abend gegessen, es ist sehr schmackhaft und empfehlenswert.

Uns hat alles gefallen. Eine bessere Verdunkelung wäre toll, schmälert aber nicht den hervorragenden Gesamteindruck

A big thank you for this unforgettable experience to the owner of the house. She is kind, helpfull and an amazing person overall. She treats you like a beloved member of the family. We were late and she waited for us with a big smile. She responded immediately ar our messages. The guesthouse is spacious, clean equiped with everything a traveller would need and decorated tastefully with vintage furniture and objects, making you feel totally at home. The garden is beautiful and the atmosphere serene. Everything is well taken care of. Please if you visit the guesthouse ask for dinner and breakfast. Totally worth it. She is a great cook (maybe the best food we had in Georgia), everything she uses is local , or from her garden and the presentation of the food is an art itself. Great house wine as well. Thank you for everything!

Kistauri Guesthouse embodies true Georgian hospitality in every possible way. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed, cared for, and treated like family — but what happened on my birthday went far beyond anything I could have imagined. The host created the most unforgettable celebration: a thoughtful gift, a delicious homemade cake, beautiful decorations, and even a birthday song performed by her neighbour. It was touching, sincere, and incredibly special. I have travelled a lot, but I have never experienced such genuine kindness and warmth. It is something I will cherish forever. The apartment itself was spotless — perfectly clean, tidy, and comfortable. Everything felt well cared for, and the atmosphere was peaceful and homely. If you want to experience authentic Georgian hospitality at its very best, this is the place to stay. Kistauri Guesthouse is more than just accommodation; it is a place where memories are made. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Absolutely nothing.

Room was very clean and the lady who host us was fantastic and gave us a lot of tip to visit the region. We had also a magnificent home made dinner. We really recommend this accommodation. It is only 7 km from Alaverdi monastery and 15 km from Telavi. They also have private parking.

This was the ultimate Georgian guesthouse experience. Unique apartment in a great garden setting, fruit trees, herb garden and flowers galore all around. Superb hospitality from an English speaking host who is always available with a smile and endless information. All the above notwithstanding, and this was mentioned in many other reviews, the culinary experience of the dinner and breakfast here should be your number one reason to stop for a couple of nights. This is above and beyond anything else we've experienced in a 3 week trip to Georgia. Thanks for the amazing experience.

Auf unserer Reise durch Georgien war die Unterkunft bei Ia etwas ganz Besonderes! Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr vielfältig, hübsch dekoriert und wohlschmeckend. Das Essen kann man wahlweise dazubuchen. Dabei berücksichtig Ia die Vorlieben ihrer Gäste. Sie ist eine hervorragende Köchin und verrät auch ihre Rezepte. Wir durften im Keller die eigene Weinherstellung besichtigen. Das Ehepaar ist äußerst liebenswürdig und aufmerksam, herzlich und doch zurückhaltend. Ia verfügt über einen großen Wissensschatz; sie konnte all unsere Fragen zum Land beantworten und gab uns auf diese Weise tiefe Einblicke in Georgiens Kultur. Vielen Dank an beide!!
