Tiflis Hut

Excellent location (5mins walk from Freedom Sq. metro station), surrounded by restaurants and bars. Has everything a small apartment would have, that one can basically live in it. We stayed for 5 nights, so this was perfect (esp. being able to use a washing machine as it was peak summer so we couldn’t rewear clothes). Kitchen was quite well equipped to make a quick meal. Bed was comfortable. Tina, the housekeeper, despite the language barrier, was so friendly and helpful. She lives next door, so was easy to find if we ever needed her. She also has a cute puppy that greeted us at the door every single time.

Pillows were good for back sleepers, but not side sleepers; another pillow that’s less firm would have been great. The layout of the apartment made for great air circulation, but that also meant the AC needed a good amount of time to cool down the whole place. While there was no window (as some reviews have mentioned), the whole entrance is a giant window (and some panels could be opened for circulation)—we had no issues with this. In terms of sound insulation, this is an old building that has been renovated into a modern apartment, so it has the same issue as any old Georgian building. Again, this is located right in the city centre (busy street) in the capital city, so if you’re a light sleeper this place is not for you.

The host, housekeeper - all are very nice and helpful! The house is located near liberty square, like 2 mins away! It comes equipped with all amenities, a separate kitchen and a cute little shared courtyard in front. All in all, a really comfortable stay!

The apartment style is quite new, so even though we loved the bedroom, it stayed really dark always unless you turn on lights because there are no windows there. The only natural light is from the main door. It didn't bother us much and we stayed for 2 days but this is something we were missing a bit. Secondly, this place doesn't come with parking itself. There's a parking lot in front that charges 20 lira for 24hrs. We had an unfortunate situation - someone scratched our rental car and we had to wait until the police came and recorded the situation. It was an unnecessary hassle. So, just be a bit prepped about this - however the owner said this happened the first time so possibly won't be an issue.

Nothing to dislike, all good

The apartment is very comfortable and perfectly located in the Old Town of Tbilisi. It has a kitchen and a very comfortable mattress, which is the most important thing! There are several sofas, making the space even cozier. A lovely touch is the photo albums with old pictures, which add a special atmosphere. Extra blankets were available, which was great since it was cold in the city. They even provided metro cards, making getting around much easier. Everything is thoughtfully arranged!

The shower drains draining water really slow ,it needs unclogging or maintenance.

-Few parts in the apartment are old, the lockers of doors were "somewhat laggy" (not closing smoothly). -Apartment is in a collective building, we could hear few times the neighbors talking behind the entry door.

Very comfortable place and very accessible

This place was very homey and had all facilities like a real home which can stay permanently. Spacious space. The host and neighbors were very nice. Even though they didn't speak English, they tried their best to take care of us.
