Politia Villas

A really enjoyable place, big room with all you need for vacation, close to the city of Karystos. South evia is definetly worth a visit.

Spacious; lovely patio / balcony. Friendly staff, good WiFi. Washing machine handy.

Bathroom a bit cramped but perfectly adequate. Would have been nice to have a few basics in the kitchen like oil and seasonings.

Considering the price level of the island, Politia is not cheap, but the price is absolutely justified by tha service offered. The villas are in a quiet place, out of the crowded town of Karystos, with a garden of English grass and several trees (pear, orange, palm, bouganvillae, ....); the owner Matina and her mom are very kind, attentive and willing to ensure that guests full enjoy their stay. Last but not least, the welcome breakfast offered and the "arrivederci" gift. Magic place!

An exceptionally clean apartment with wonderful views. The beds were comfortable and it was a nice touch to have gifts left of sweets and a bottle of local hooch.

I would have liked a fixed rather than hand-held shower. The bathroom was a little too snug in general. The plug for the kettle was poorly positioned and possibly dangerous if the sink were filled with water. Small things that didn't spoil our enjoyment too badly. As others have said, it is a 20 minute walk from the restaurants so be aware if you are infirm.
