Plakes Suites

Located in Plakes with fabulous island and sea views. Stathis the owner was super friendly & helped us with our large case. Balconies at the front & rear of apartment. All the streets in that area were narrow and car free. Close to the centre of Skiathos town.

Minor point, the apartment was a little dated, but with that location & views….

It was organised, clean an a lovely location! Perfect for exploring the town

Just returned from our first trip to Skiathos and feel so fortunate to have found the perfect location based on the information provided by the owner, Stathis, and the reviews from Booking.com. We had a little, almost private beach (perfect for swimming) next to a stunning viewpoint down some steep steps. 15 min walk was a sandy beach with several lovely tavernas with a good choice of food & drink. 5 min walk from the accommodation is the old port with fabulous tavernas and only another few mins to the old town with more restaurants and shops. Staying at Plakes meant that we had a quiet (& beautiful) neighbourhood to sleep, in & around a locals’ community, but with the closeness of bars, restaurants and beaches. It’s a 5 min walk to a bus stop to explore other parts of the island but we felt like we had everything we could want in walking distance from Plakes. The apartment was very clean, spacious with a big bed & bedroom, a large kitchen/lounge/diner with two sofa beds. The shower was powerful, the kitchen had a tall fridge freezer, & plenty of cupboard space. The French doors out to the balcony had sea views. The owner Stathis was so friendly and welcoming, with recommendations from his local knowledge. With his business partner, Heather, they run a taverna in town and will happily accommodate a gluten free menu (thanks to Heather having years experience in the wedding catering industry & family with dietary needs, including coeliac.) We’re almost reluctant to share how brilliant this place is as we may not be able to book next time! Thank you for a fantastic stay!

Å bo i hjertet av Skiathos i gamlebyen nær Plakes var det beste vi har gjort. Leilighet med en utrolig utsikt! Stor og romslig leilighet med alt man trenger. Husvert Stathis, en ubeskrivelig hyggelig mann med et godt hjerte! Ekstra hyggelig å bo her om man er glad i katter, det er mange faste katter i dette området og de kommer gjerne på besøk på terrassen din:) Vi ble oppriktig glad i akkurat denne leiligheten, omgivelsene, husverten og kattene her. Kort vei ned til Plakes strand for morgenbad, kort vei til Plakes klippene for ettermiddagsbad. Kort spasertur til sentrum og gamle havnen i Skiathos. Vi kommer garantert tilbake hit❤️

The location was perfect. Beautifully serene at night and just a five minute walk through Skiathos’ romantic cobbled back streets to get to all the best parts of town from tavernas to tucked away restaurants, to museums and beaches. Stathis was an excellent host. The apartment is spacious and the air conditioning kept us lovely and cool. The view across the harbour and the Aegean is extremely special.

Very spacious flat.

To reach the location you have to climb so many stairs. If you are elder person it's not for you! It's impossible to reach out with car there. But otherwise location is near to restaurants.
