Apartment Gardenia

I have only positive things to say about Apartment Gardenia. Our host, who stays upstairs in the same house, met us in the middle of the night to give us the keys and introduce the house. The house was perfectly clean and had a nicely nostalgic, cozy atmosphere. All of the rooms were very spacious and had heaters for wintertime. The house is walking distance from all Kutaisi sights. Shops, ATMs etc are near. There is lots of room to park cars in front of the house on the street. The street is in a quiet neighbourhood. Overall it is very warmly recommended, and to the host I want to say we are really sorry, if we were a bit loud.

Suzanna was very kind and gracious. She met us at 2:00am to hand over the keys, and gave us information about the house.

Very nice owner who lives in the house, we had the whole ground floor for ourselves. It is older but clean. 15 minutes walking to the city center is a great location, we you can park in the street withour problem.

Lovely place and great service

The apartment was huge and rooms spacious. Bathroom of a good size. Kitchen equiped well with plenty of plates and cups and functioning electric kettle and fridge. Nice terrace. The surrounding area was quite during the night. The apartment was clean, and the owner clean the terrace every day. She took the garbage whenever it was full. A lot of towels and sheets. There were enough toilet paper, and hand washing liquid. Iron for ironing the clothes.

The apartment wasn't central. We had to walk 20-25 minutes to reach the center of the city, shops and bus station. When we arrived, the lady show us 2 rooms and said that we can sleep together because there were more than one bed in each. There wasn't AC in both. I asked for the AC , then she showed us the third room and the only one with AC. We traveled in July. It was hot and humid. The only AC in the whole apartment was in one bedroom. The other 2 rooms have an old floor fan, which wasn't enough during the night. We had to take the fan to the kitchen when we sit there because there wasn't a fan or AC in the kitchen. Beds weren't very comfortable and we found cockroaches in bedrooms. According to the information about facilities, the apartment should have a washing machine. I found the washing machine in a room in the terrace. When I asked the lady, if I may use it, she said no because it wasn't a part of my booking!! We had to buy some more clothes, to have enough clean clothes for the whole week. Kitchen was equipped with plenty of knives but none was sharp enough to cut a bread or cucumber. The stove with only 2 functioning burners and the oven didn't work. No TV. The apartment is very old and the inside was dark. We had to switch on lights even during the day to walk around.
