The Venetian Walls Cosy Apartments

Really comfortable and spacious apartment in a quiet part of the town. You can walk to a bus stop which will take you to a beach. You can also walk to the main part of Heraklion. Lovely people in Crete and lovely food. I took a boat trip to Spinalonga and had a BBQ on the boat. Really good trip.

As mentioned in other people's comments, there is no number on the outside door, so it can be difficult to find, especially in the dark. There's also no numbers on the apartment doors. Could do with more saucepans. Also could do with instructions on how to use the bedroom light/fan and the hob. Make sure you can communicate with the host in case of an emergency. I would recommend putting her number into WhatsApp. We had a problem and struggled to contact her but she was very helpful when we got hold of her.

Perfect location close to center, but still in a quiet area. Nice balcony. Very clean and easy communication with the host.

Everything was great. Reading the reviews about the lack of aircon in the bedroom, you can still manage to have nice temperatures in the room at night with only the living room aircon if you keep windows and curtains closed during the day.

Very nice and accommodating host

Cannot imagine anything more perfect. Thought and care have been put in every detail, beautifully and simply furnished, with small decorative touches, well-lit at night. The kitchen is fully equipped, and pleasant to be in. The bathroom has a fully functional shower curtain, unlike so many other places, and a cabinet with space to put things. The bedroom has a large cupboard, and a big ledge to place whatever you need next to a comfortable bed. Is is one of the few places where I felt "comfortable and at home" as soon as I got in. In a ten minute walk you will be in the centre of town, walking through a quiet neighbourhood, where I felt perfectly safe. If you rent a car, there is a small parking place very close, or a large "robotic" parking garage (not expensive) just over five minutes away, on foot. Tania was very helpful when I arrived late from a delayed flight, and very prompt and friendly with any information needed. Highly recommended!

Large apartment with functional kitchen with everything you would need. Location is close enough to walk into old town in about 10 minutes. Lock box key pick up was convenient for odd time frames.

Slightly too hot in the bedroom as it had a fan but no Aircon. Having said that, Aircon in the main room was good.

Clean and well located. The host cares!
