Ξενώνας Το Πέτρινο 2

I was on the whole really pleased with this booking, not so much for the flat, but rather for its location in a remote mountain village north of Volos. The village itself is the closest you will get to experiencing what life is like when you are up in the mountains, cut off from the conveniences and the bustle of modern life. Going from A to B is up and down steep alleyways. The flat itself is rustic and has its charm. It was well heated. Parking is available near the village square, but do not try and drive up to the house, as manoeuvring your way back down, especially if you have a largish car, can be tricky. The monastery I wanted to visit seems close by on a map, but is only accessible after a car journey of 30 min. and then a hike through the woods of some 6 miles. The same goes for the beach. You can see the sea from the top of the village, but there is no way of actually getting there on foot. In all, a memorable experience, though.
