Studio Hibiscus

Location. Beautiful. Unfortunately there was no coffee for the coffee maker (of course not required but everywhere I've stayed includes at least a bit for new arrivals).

Arrival was a disaster. I asked to check in at 1. Told no. Asked for 2. Told no. Told only after 4. So I spent 6 hours driving around the island when I even showed up there at 1 and was refused. So of course I assumed at 4 pm I would be free rest, checked in, shown around. Nope. Came back. No numbers so I couldn't find the place despite asking and messaging several times. Then upon arrival when I didn't know where to go more messages. Just said to call. I called and was hung up on. Later the Dad showed up up the block and I was able to get in (no English) and the place was bare bones. The internet was broken and I feared to say anything as the host, who never showed up, was not kind via message. From 5-730 pm I tried alone to fix the internet (have photos of non working router etc) and told host, who could not have cared less. Told me once to reset router to which I replied I had many times. No response. No assistance. TV didn't work (no wifi). Couldn't watch TV, read (no wifi) call or use phone. Left to stare at the wall all night. No blankets for bed.. just one small sheet like a prison. No water at all. Couldn't shower, wash my face, brush my teeth, nothing. Like a holding cell could do nothing but sit and eventually sleep. Except no. The loudest sounds I've ever heard right after 7am. I jumped out of bed thinking someone was banging the door down. She had roofers there right after sunrise banging, drilling, bashing, jumping. I gave up exhausted and packed my things. Tried water again and there was none. Never saw a host, no help. Dirty and exhausted I left at 830 with nowhere to go that early. Couldn't even have coffee as there wasn't any. Couldn't even brush my teeth.
