The host was exceptionally friendly and agreed to meet us at a very late check-in! She provided us with some very helpful tips on how to get around the city and where important shops were. She was able to explain how the busses in Chania worked (Ktel). We could have chatted with her for hours, we wish she had put some of the information in a packet to read in the room. The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood and about a 30 minute walk to the center. We chose to walk this everyday, but there is one bus that can take you to and from the center. We did not have a car, but there is lots of parking around. The kitchen was well equipped for a home cooked meal.

The room itself was ok. It was missing a few things like a hook for your towel and a drying rack for the clothes after using the machine. We found the bed to be quite hard, but it was very large. I was bothered by a damp smell in the apartment and needed to have the windows open when we were home. It also needs a new shower curtain or a bath mat because it is very difficult to shower and not get the floor wet.

It had everything you need for a holiday and the owner Irene is kind and thoughtful to her guests.

The apartment had grocery stores, bakery, small restaurants, bus stops, all nearby. We left our car parked near the apartment and went into Chania by bus 11 or 18. Each way cost 1.10 euro pp. The hostess was very helpful with directions and recommendations.

Everything was great.

Spotless clean, comfortable, lovely owners. Embedded in local area away from the tourist streets or the resort areas on the other side of Chania … very relaxing

The accommodation was comfortable and clean, with all you would need from a "home from home". Irene was extremely helpful and responsive and went the extra mile by providing basic toiletries and cleaning products. It was a little off the beaten track, which we enjoyed for walking and exploring the area - 30 minutes walk into Chania. Well kept and presented property. Lovely supermarket and bakery nearby. Great base for exploring.

The accommodation is situated on a fairly busy street so we needed to have the windows shut at night, but there was a great aircon and shutters, so the noise from the traffic did not disturb us. The bathroom is quite small, but it did not impact us, and there was plenty of hot water.
