ONOS RESIDENCE

Joanna our host met us at the port. We were then taken by water taxi to accommodation only 5 minutes & our luggage was carried by mule! Pretty unique. The island is truly beautiful and the Onos residence was very nicely appointed extremely tastefully With very comfortable beds . A nice generous help yourself breakfast was provided in the apartment. Our outlook across the sea was wonderful and an easy 15 minute walk on to the main Hydra town with lots of places to eat drink and shop. The island is a great place walk and explore with lots of trails in the cooler months and lots of lovely spots to swim too although in April sea was decidedly chilly!! Definitely recommend Onos and Hydra as a superb place to relax and unwind , I guess in July and August it may be very busy and v hot.

The accommodations are exceptional. The service was excellent. We were met at the ferry by our host. Our luggage was taken via donkey to the hotel, and we rode a water taxi. I love that the hotel is not right downtown. It’s more quiet. There is a lovely beach just down the road plus another one a bit further. The view is spectacular!

I really can’t think of anything. This was our best while in Greece.

This was a splurge for us and it was worth it. Kamini is close to Hydra Port but is very quiet. Onos is peaceful and luxurious. The staff, particularly Joanna, were responsive and kind. Everything was taken care of. What a wonderful getaway!

I liked everything! People with mobility limitations should be aware that there are a lot of stairs from the dock, but that’s how you get the good views. I’m a desk worker and managed it.

Perfection. Beautiful location. Stunning stone villa perched up on a hillside in front of Kamini port. The villa offers a water view and partially enclosed patio with ample seating to enjoy the water views and enjoy the breeze. Lovely two bedroom two bathroom apartment with a kitchenette and a soaking tub. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The apartment also included a nice indoor sitting area. Plenty of space and comfort by European standards. The customer service from start to finish was first rate. They selected two excellent restaurants for dinner in Hyrda and arranged the reservations. They arranged our water taxis between Hydra and Kamini port. The departures and arrivals from the property and Hyrda were seamless. They arranged laundry service for us as well. Management was in regular communication with us by Whats App and present on site throughout our stay. We stayed in four different locations during our 8-day stay in Greece and this was the best overall. My wife loved this place. We travelled as a family of four with two older teens and we loved our stay at Onos. The price was very reasonable and a great value. Onos was a special place. Memorable. I would love to come back.

I really can't say anything negative about this place. But you should know that it is located in Kamini port and not in the center of Hydra. You can go between Kamini port and Hydra by water taxi which is quick and easy. However, you need to be aware of when Taxi service ends at night. The other way to get between Kamini port and Hydra is to walk along the shoreline. There is a paved path that is lite at night. We did this walk during the day and night. And frankly the walks were enjoyable and memorable. And we enjoyed the water taxis. For us the location and not being in center of Hyrda was a plus.
