Gerekos Island Apartments

In a quiet area but easy walking distance of Beach and a few restaurants and supermarket. Lovely views and the most fabulous swimming pool. Family that run the apartments are amazing, nothing is too much trouble, we were even invited to a family gathering. They were fantastic with my adult son who has additional needs, they treated him with exceptional kindness.

Da wir gegen MIttag angekommen sind, war jemand da und die Schlüsselübergabe war reibungslos. Die Lage würde ich als gut bezeichnen, man ist zwar nicht direkt an einem Strand, dieser ist allerdings fußläufig in 5-10 Minuten zu erreichen. Die Aussenanlage von Gerekos Island würde ich als sehr schön, gepflegt, mit tollem grossen Pool und neuwertigen Standliegen bezeichnen (obwohl sehr wenig Beschattung vorhanden), das Appartement war zweckmässig aber überaltert und etwas renovierungsbedürftig. Die Gastgeber sind nett und entgegenkommend und hilfsbereit, aber zeitweise nicht verfügbar. Morgens sehr später Beginn oder am Wochenende gar nicht vorhanden, wobei man sich etwas alleine gelassen fühlt. Auch abends ist zeitweise plötzlich früher geschlossen. Man wollte noch was essen und steht auf einmal vor verschlossener Tür.

Wir haben wegen Flugverspätung einen Gast kennen gelernt, die später am Abend ankam und die hatte Schwierigkeiten, jemanden zu finden. Das Equipment im Appartement ist ein zusammengewürfeltes Sammelsurium und man vermisst so einiges wie z.B. ein Messer, das auch schneidet, ein Brett zum Schneiden.... Im Schrank fehlen Einlageböden, um seine Sachen abzulegen, es gibt nur Hängebereiche (toll für Kleider) schlecht für Shirts und kurze Hosen, die man ja zumeist im Urlaub dabei hat. Steckdosen sind Mangelware. Alles in allem zusammengefasst - das Appartement ist etwas lieblos eingerichtet, passt aber zum Preis.

The apartment was excellent, in a perfect location. We had frequent changes of bed linen and towels, a beautiful swimming pool, and the surroundings were stunning. Everything was just perfect and we really enjoyed our stay

We loved the large pool, the well-maintained garden, the quietness of the area, the private parking, the location (only 7km from Corfu Town and very close to the airport) and the property being pet friendly. Nice Kontokali beach is a 10-minute-walk away and there's plenty of restaurants around, all within walking distance.

The apartment was very clean but the faucets were a little neglected. Due to the hardness of the water, they presented limescale and rust, that we cleaned ourselves by soaking the aerators and the shower handle in white vinegar. After that, everything worked fine. The water pressure in the shower was excellent and we never lacked hot water.

Les gérants de l'établissement sont des personnes vraiment sympathiques et attachantes, toujours prêtes à vous rendre service. De ce fait, on se sent comme dans un cocon , presque en famille.

Location is good, close to beach and some lovely restaurants nearby.

Room was not the room we paid for. We paid for a superior apartment and was given the worst room in the complex. When we spoke to the manager he didn’t address the issue. Bed was so hard, unable to use.
