The Prickly Pear Apartment

Great, quiet location, cosy apartment. The little garden in front of the house was just perfect to have a meal, relax in the shadow of the trees. Xanthi and her husband welcomed me w/ fruits, home made cake and some Creten specialty and the traditional red eggs for Easter :-) The apartment was absolutely well equipped and clean. Frankly you cannot ask for more.

I cannot list anything, sincerely all was very good, even beyond my expectations. I have rented multiple apartments already around the world through different platforms. This place is in my Top 5.

Very friendly host, they provided us with extra sheets and towels as we spend almost 3 weeks in the apartment. Lovely small garden. Good WiFi. We had all we needed.

The apartment was ideally located, close to beaches, with a pleasant walk into the Old Town. The apartment was clean and the hosts very friendly.

The bed could have been a bit more comfortable, but it wasn't an issue.

A spotless, spacious apartment with everything we needed. The hosts were lovely and responded very quickly to any query. The pantry had plenty of provisions, and there was even fruit and a few vegetables in the fridge. A cute outdoor space in the front. Close to the bus stop, beach, main road with a supermarket and fruit and veg shops. One of the best places I've stayed in.

Everything from the start, meeting the hosts, made very welcome, fruit and cake were there for us, really nice touch, The facilities there is in the air bnb like being at home, very cozy, nice to have the garden, nice and quiet day and night, very close virtually centrally located to the beach & town of charnia, Shops very close to pick up daily things like bread & milk, All in all a lovely place to stay and ready to go back when next year THANKYOU xx

Lovely hosts and lovely place. Nice and clean apartment with many extras such as coffee, tea, cleaning staff and even ouzo and a cake as welcome thing. Great communication with host and very helpful when we were planning our trips. Apartment also located close to old town Chania not even 15mins walk which was another pros. Highly recommended place!

Prickly Pear Apartment is the best place we stayed during our two weeks on Crete (The other places were fine, but the Prickly Pear is better!) A very modern and attractive ground floor apartment, offering use of a delightful front garden. The owners are good natured and very helpful. The apartment is a good size and complete with full-size appliances (cooker, fridge-freezer, washing machine, toaster, filter coffee machine, but no microwave). All windows fitted with strong mosquito screens. There is a beach umbrella for guest use. LOCATION - Prickly Pear is in a quiet residential area very near Nea Chora Beach. That's a solid 20-minute walk from Chania Old Town - BUT - the location is actually the mid-point between the boisterous city beach (sunbeds, beach bars and restaurants) and the more serene Golden Beach. A couple of side streets bring you onto the sea front where you’ll find a popular café/bar and the excellent, unpretentious Tsalikis taverna. Prickly Pear is especially suited to anyone planning a long-ish stay in Chania (we stayed 8 nights) and needs to wash clothes and prepare the odd meal.

Nothing major - because Prickly Pear is so suited to self-catering, some wood cooking utensils would be useful, also a smaller saucepan.

Had a lovely stay iat the Prickly Pear apartmemt. Lovely apartment great location. Use of beautiful garden at location. Very friendly accomodating helpful host. Beautiful cake and drink on arrival to greet you on arrival.

High quality of accommodation. Very good facilities. I especially liked the kitchen. The owners were very nice and very helpful. The property had a lovely garden where I sat out and relaxed in the sun

Little too far from the Harbour. Quite a walk down the street with lots of traffic but I got plenty of exercise
