The Seasons of Nickolas

The apartment was perfect and the beds were comfortably firm for those with back problems like us. Would like to have stayed longer in this sweet village! The host was kind and very accommodating. As we were leaving, he offered us yogurt and honey, along with a bar of special soap made on Kefalonia!

Great sized studio apartment with terrace area. Comfortable and clean with everything you need. A few minutes walk to a bustling port with restaurants and bars with beaches around the corner. Owner was very friendly and helpful and went out of his way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. We were travelling through so only had one night but would go back again.

We were in transit from ithica to lefkada and stayed for one night in kefelonia before Catching the ferry from fiscardo. We picked The seasons because of its cost and location. No complaints, not 5* but we knew that, but excellent value.

Nothing

Booking tricked me into believing that I am paying 60 euros (late September) for a room with one large bed and 2 small beds. For the record, a room with one large bed and 2 bunk beds was 52 euros and the offer stayed like that all week. When arriving at location my room had only one bed. Fortunately Nikolas was kind enough to add an extra bed without charging me anything other than the 60 euros agreed upon. The room was ok. Had a bit of a problem with the toilet basin which did not seal properly and the water ran endlessly causing the basin to start water admission every 5 minutes which was quite noisy. But this problem will probably be fixed soon. Owner was really nice. Even received a gift on departure.

The weather absolutely pissed down

The hosts were warm and friendly, offered us excellent advice on what to do an the island, we felt like friends visiting and not clients. The place itself is clean, cosy and nicely decorated and it has all you may need (including an ice cream scoop). The room is spacious and my kid adored the bunked beds and the toys she found in the room. I also appreciated the attention to details, for example there are no AC units on the front side, so you do not hear the noise or feel the heat when sitting on the balcony. The parking places are next to the location and on foot you can reach markets, a playground, restaurants, cafes. It was the best place to travel to all main attractions on the island. A close beach that we really liked was Agia Paraskevi (6 min by car, parking, natural shadow, perfect water for snorkeling).

It was not a problem for us, but if you are a light sleeper you might not be able to sleep with the doors open (there was some traffic on the road in front). Yet, with doors closed, no noise comes into the room!

Very comfortable, spacious and modern studio, with all you need. Akis and Margarita are really lovely and exceptional hosts, offering welcome and goodbye treats and gifts and always ready to give excellent tips on beaches, restaurants etc. Agia Effimia is lovely and there are beautiful places and beaches to see in the surroundings. If we come back to Kefalonia we will definitely stay here again!
