Studio Malacca, Malanga et Majacudja - Ô Cœur de Deshaies

Location was excellent with a wonderful view from the balcony.

One evening we experienced a lot of tiny flying insects coming inside. They didn’t bite, but were a nuisance. Fly screens in the balcony door might help prevent this.

Spectacular views - wonderful location. Especially helpful to have a washing machine.

Lack of windows was rather depressing given its stunning location.

Excellent location, view, and balcony. The studio apartment has a million dollar view of the cove in Deshaies, and, more importantly, the sunsets. Small birds visited us while we were relaxing on the balcony. Wonderful tropical flowers and plants enticed hummingbirds to feed nearby. There are many excellent beaches nearby. Our favorites were Grande Anse, Cluny, Leroux and Malendure. Bonus: all beaches were free - there were no parking and no "use" fees. Cluny especially was like a virgin tropical beach with no crowds and simple parking under shade trees.

I have not driven manual transmission in several years, and the steep uphill road to the apartment gave me some trouble on the first day. The place was smaller than I envisioned, but that's more my fault than the apartment - it is exactly as described. There is no TV - this comment is more for information. There is so much to do in Deshaies and the surrounding area that the apartment more of a place to change, shower, and sleep. Oh, and watch the beautiful sunsets.

Small but nice and clean apartment, well equipped..It has a large balcony with an outstanding view. Parking is directly in front of the apartment. The contact to the owner was fast and uncomplicated. Just a note. The walk to restaurants and shops is about 20 minutes. Especially the way return to the apartment is partly steep. That's the price you have to pay for the great view.

Small studio with spaceous bathroom and amazing view from the terrace. Equpied with everything you need and tastefully furnished. Close proximity to beaches and the town. Hosts are amazing, they provide you with a very detailed guide book for the area and are always available for any questions. We would definitely recommend the acommodation.

The location was beautiful, as the view from the balcony was spectacular, especially since you get to watch the sunset each night. It was also nice that a pool was provided, as well as a parking spot.

We ran out of toilet paper, so it would have been good if a few more rolls were provided.

Location was really good. Hosts were very pleasant. View lovely. Very clean room.

Frequent Smoking from room below and next door filled my room and deck. The only window/opening to the outdoors from my one room studio was the door to the deck (where the lovely view was) and when opened smoke filled the space. Had to close the door to the deck often to avoid smoke in the room. Property description says » no smoking rooms »Misleading. Deck is an extension of the room and smoking is allowed on decks. I had to leave early because the smoke was intolerable (with no refund). Perhaps other rooms would be less affected by other people’s smoking based on location. Mine was directly above another room where the smoke rose directly up and into to my room. If it weren’t for this concern, I’d rate the property much higher. If you are a smoker or don’t mind smoke, this will obviously not be a concern for you.

It was a lovely location with a stunning view. Very accessible for Deshaises and surrounding areas. Loved the hammock and the quiet pool.

If I had to say anything it would be the driveway tests your hillstarts.

Beautiful setting and views

Very hilly. You definitely need a car. Felt a little trapped in the evening due to the walk back from town
