Mamas Reas

The sea view from our terrace was priceless. Gardenos beach is probably the best beach we have ever been. it's only few minutes walk from the room. Mama Read is a great host. We ll come again, I m sure

We made a mistake and didn't booked Rent-A-Car at the airport because the car is necessary if you want to explore the island. the next time we will rent it for sure

Mama Rea is the best. She has looked after us well and was always there if we had any question. The location is great, only a few minute walk from the beach away. The beach is beautiful, with a few Tabernas nearby.

The installations are a little old and need to be updated shortly.

The accomodation was an experience itself. Mama Reas, waited us at check-in with some cold watermelon. We also received some peaches from her garden. At the end we received souvenirs. We love her. Everything was clean, the cleaning lady was in our room every day. It is a 10 accomodation.

I liked the food, drinks and friendly staff at BEBIS tavern on the Gardenos Beach, where all ingredients are local, and the fish is catch of the day only. The portions are huge, for example one greek salad's weight is about two and half pounds of tomatoes, cucumber, onions, olives, pepper, and feta. Our advice is to order only a few portions of food, and share with your family/friends, to avoid waste, as it is too good and tasty. At Mamas Reas' apartments, there's air conditioning everywhere, and the view from the balcony is stunning. Fresh air for the early morning cuppa, or the late evening star gazing. The cleaning lady is brilliant, and everywhere a little tip is much appreciated.

There's not much information about the toilet use rules, as the message is very confusing, DO NOT PUT PAPER IN THE TOILET, without specifying that toilet tissue is included as well. They should explain that clearly, as it seems like the pipes on the island are from 1700 B.C.!!! Unfortunately, we found the information only on Google. Also, I consider that it is not very hygienic to keep dirty toilet tissue around in a bin, when there are 35*C. No wonder that half my party were taken ill with Norovirus symptoms, ruining our stay!

Magnificent views, quiet location, great value, friendly hosts. Comfortable beds, spacious.

Couldnt fault anything

Traditional Greek property, lovely friendly welcome from the owner and her son. Beautifully peaceful location, Mama Reas has a beautiful terrace and a wonderful array of colourful plants that she tends daily. Huge beach a couple of minutes walk away, where we were often the only people there- probably due to the time of year.

Everything was perfect but we would recommend a car if you want to explore the island, however Mama Reas son can organise transport and trips.

The owner/staff could not have been more helpful including a lift out when our plans changed due to a ferry strike. The flat was spacious enough although a weird column in the middle of the kitchen made things a little difficult - but it did hold the roof up. Comfort and cleanliness was fine and proximity to all (little actually) the town had to offer was fine. This is a very chilled place with just enough restaurants to keep you happy and the local store is a gem.

This is really a place for those with a car. We took the bus to the nearest town and walked. It was quite the trek. The owner had tried to contact us about a lift but something went awry. If you are taking a bus, which is a great way to see the East coast on the way South, best to arrange a pick up with the owner in advance. By Australian standards the beach is pretty poor although rated on line as one of Corfu's best. When the beach is the primary offering that is an issue - rent a car and get out and about I would suggest. The Booking.com map for the location is rubbish. We wasted heaps of time finding the place as result. This is such a common problem with Booking.com.

Location. You can coock meal in the morning, it helps to save time. Good choice for the low price.
