Akakia’s house

We truly enjoyed our stay at Akakia’s house! The place was so wonderfully decorated and renovated, sparkling clean, very comfortable and has everything that we need for our stay. The hosts were very responsive, thoughtful and caring. Communication was great throughout and they are always so happy and kind to help. The location is perfect - right at the heart of Kavala historical district, with excellent cafe, bar and tavernas nearby. It was the perfect base for us to explore Kavala. The parking spot is also a huge bonus! We will definitely stay again when we visit Kavala next time!

A hidden gem inside the old city in Kavala. A very stylish suite with a comfortable design and with every little detail considered. You really don't need to bring anything home-related with you. There is even a grocery store that delivers the suite. It was also very enjoyable to sit and spend time on the small terrace in front of the house. Other advantages are that it offers platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, and a parking place. The hosts are very caring and helpful, we would also like to thank them for the wine treats. We definitely look forward staying here again. It was really a great experience.

The apartment is fitted out with high quality furniture and lots of thought went into the design and making our stay comfortable. The parking was great, it is essential for the location given the narrow streets and steep incline of the hill leading up to the castle. Good food and cafes nearby and it was easy for us to day trip from this location to visit nearby towns and tourist attractions.

These are very minor points but: - Netflix and amazon prime streaming services worked well but the wifi did seem a bit slow. - The breakfast bowels were very small and a salad bowl would have been good.

The flat is nicely furnished and modern.

Due to the character of the building (being a former garage) it was very noisy and impossible to fall asleep with all the street noise and hearing people passing by all night. We appreciated the nice design but didn't feel comfortable and couldn't rest properly. Another struggle was the shower-there is a bathtub and you basically need to hold the shower head with you hand while washing your hair which is very uncomfortable and annoying.

The apartment was way above our expectations. Its design is unique, with a lot of attention to details. The one-sided windows that allow you to see outside while not allowing people passing by outside to see you is very nice. It has everything that you need, from espresso machine to washing machine and much more. Even a turntable - which fits perfectly in the apartment and is very nice. I strongly recommend this for couples. Also, it is very well positioned in the old city centre, a couple of minutes away from top rated restaurants and bars and attractions (like the castle)
