Lighthouse apartment

Our Host Christian greeted us on our arrival and warmly welcomed us. We arrived early and were allowed to leave our bags and enjoy the rest of the day. Christian gave us some useful tips and we enjoyed a wonderful meal in Mouragia taverna just outside the front door. The kitchen was well equipped and has a Nespresso coffee machine with a very generous supply of capsules which was a nice touch. The fridge held some breakfast items to get us started on our first morning again this was greatly appreciated. There were books and games for the children too. We would recommend the hop on hop off bus. Also the Gerald Durrell tour (please watch the Durrells TV programme if you haven't already watched it), it comes alive when you visit Corfu. It interesting to watch the planes land and take off at the edge of the very short runway! We ate out every night and it was very resonably priced our favourite was Tsantsamini, Excellent food, lovely service, live music set in the gardens of a family run restaurant. This was a lucky find while meandering round the town, its a stones throw from the Lighthouse appartment. There are some great bars that sold really cold beers and ice cream shops at every corner, lots of shops selling local crafts and clothes.

I would like to say for us it was perfect, however if you are unable to navigate 64 spiral steps this isn't the place for you. We found it useful as we over indulged on the local food and wine.

Absolutely stunning apartment! The location and views were phenomenal, and the apartment itself is of an impeccable standard and beautifully furnished, as well as spotlessly clean. The host was extremely kind and has thought of everything to enhance your stay - we managed to check in on the first (and only!) day of rain in months and the apartment even day umbrellas to borrow for our whole group ! Sitting in the living room with the windows open, the view just surrounds you, it's a magical place and really one of the nicest we have stayed in - highly recommend!

Location fantastic. Beautiful spacious apartment. Friendly host who has thought of everything his guests may need. Thoughtful to include coffee, milk and staple for breakfast. Beach towels for swimming just outside straight in the sea. Restaurants outside just a step away with good food and open late for drinks with a view to the sea.

I’ve got long covid and really struggled with the steps in the heat

Great location and magnificent view. The living area and kitchen are very spacious and nicely decorated. The host (Christian) was our best host of the 15 day trip, really friendly and treated us with fresh bread, milk, coffee, nutella, honey, butter, jam and a small bottle of local wine. We also found parking very close to the apartment. The local Taverna downstairs at the entrance to our stairs is highly recommended.

The entrance steps that leads to the 4th floor entrance were very steep and narrow - this made access with our suitcases very difficult! The bedrooms are on the 5th floor, another set of stairs to get luggage to rooms. Every bedroom did not have their own air-conditioner, only one AC in the passage between the 2 bedrooms. The natural ventilation in the bedrooms was not sufficient in the heat of July (mid 30 degC) - even with all the windows upstairs open. They did supply standing slim-fans, but unfortunately did not help much. My wife slept with a wet towel to cool down. The mattress in our room was soft and the pillows too high, we prefer a firm mattress with thin pillows.

Beautiful airy apartment with lots of windows and fantastic views of sea and rooftops. Very comfortable bed and very well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches (beach towels, drinking water tap, iced water in fridge selection of teas and coffees, ingredients for light breakfast and many more things). Great location

Lots of steep stairs (beautiful old building, so unavoidable)

We had high expectations and they were comfortably exceeded. Rooms beautifully furnished, lit and decorated. Beds were super-comfy. Thoughtful details everywhere. We felt at home immediately, and all right on the edge of the lovely Corfu old town, within a stone's throw of a quiet little beach-cove for swimming.

Literally perfect. Being so high up we even had a great view of the swifts.
