MYRTIA APARTMENT few steps from the sea

Location, and responsiveness of the staff.

Due to the holiday the apartment was not clean when we arrived. This has been fixed by the very nice staff. The shower is quite bad.

The Location was great for us. As the old town is very busy. Only 10 min walk to old town harbour. Only 12 min walk to main bus station. 5 min walk to beach. And nice food areas. Clean and comfortable apartment. Ground floor. Easy access. But terrace has no view, just car parking. But a useful space to have. Most things you need are there. We stayed a week. Quiet area. Parking is available if you can find a space on one of the roads or outside. Apartment. We didn't need a car here, as very good busses. The modern town on way to bus station has everything you need. And is much cheaper than old town.

Only thing. Was shower. It needs a fixing for shower head and a longer shower curtain, as it soaks the room if you are not careful. But how long are you in a shower:) . So doesn't matter.

Location is perfect near Nea Chora beach with all the best seafood restaurants in Chania and only a light 15 minute walk from the centre of the old town. You can either walk along the seafront to the Old Venetian Harbour or take a more direct road and end up in the pedestrian streets of the Old Town. There is a supermarket nearby and a beautiful farmer’s market every Thursday on the street 30 seconds walk from the apartment.

Very small thing but as I must put something: As mentioned by some other guests travelling from Northwestern Europe (UK, France, Germany) we are used to a fixed holder for the shower head on the wall above head height to allow hands free use.

The apartment had all the comforts and necessities for an amazing stay.

The location is very close to the old center. Also very good tavernas in the area! Tha host was very helpfull!

Clean and good value for money, calm area yet close to the old town and a few beaches. All basics available. Excellent welcoming and guidance from the host

Rather dark (located on ground floor) … but not to be considered as a real issue if you spend most of your time outside ;)
