Eclipse Tales Milos, Port Area

It would be very helpful if some basic kitchen items were provided, like cooking oil, salt, pepper, coffee,... When you're staying for just a few days it's not very practical if you have to buy everything in large quantities and leave most of it behind. In similar apartments on the neighboring islands these things were provided.. With this, it would've been a 10.

THE VIEW IS BREATHTAKING. The accommodation (2 bedroom top floor apartment) is well worth the money, 2 large bedrooms which have super comfy beds. We didn’t really use the kitchen as we ate out, but it has everything you would need for cooking. Lots of space in the living and dining areas. The best feature is definitely the 2 balconies, the views are amazing. Good air con throughout the apartment in living room and both bedrooms. Good communication from the agent. It’s about a 5 minute walk into the town, and maybe a 10 minute walk back (LOTS of steps). We hadn’t been to Milos before, if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful break this is definitely the place.

Modern and comfortable studio. Close to Adamas center and port. Receptionists were very helpful. We also rented a car with them and it was easy and convenient.

The process of checking in was a bit annoying, as we had to wait for someone to lead us to the apartment.

It was very clean and spacious. Beautiful sea view from balconies (2). Helpful staff - responded to WhatsApp messages promptly and fixed our WiFi issue within half hour.

Location was perfect and a pleasant short walk from the central port of Adamas. Very clean, modern and spacious room. I was happy with the room I booked and made for a pleasant stay in Milos. I would recommend.

Only three minor points of feedback. There was no TV. Only a bottom and top bed sheet was provided, however a light blanket/coverlet for the bed would have been good. The outdoor area for our room was bland with no view (which I was aware of). Suggest adding some greenery to make the area more inviting to sit and have a coffee.

The location is within easy walking distance to the port and shops.

The spa has been renovated since the photos were taken. It’s not a 2 person spa with a view. The cleaner will walk in at any time without knocking. There’s no stop on the door to prevent it from opening like in most hotels.

Close to port and restaurants / bars. They let us check in early as room was ready. Free transport from travel services office to accommodation. Bedroom was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was good.

Note - we stayed in the superior studio. Really disappointed as we paid quite a bit for this stay in high season and the value for money wasn’t great. Have stayed in much nicer places for less. The main issues were with the bathroom: 1. The shower didn’t drain properly (see picture attached). I reported this to Athena travel services on day 1 and then every day during our stay. Each time they would either ignore my messages, or if it was on the telephone or in person assure me that they would get someone to fix this. However, it was never fixed during the stay which is not the service that I would expect. 2. Due to the drainage issues this left a horrible smell in the bathroom that we had to air out each day which was very unpleasant. 3. We also had an issue with the sink plughole (see second picture attached) which you couldn’t put down the plug hole without getting jammed. Thankfully Athena travel services did fix this, however we couldn’t use the plug for the remainder of the stay. I also wasn’t very impressed with the outdoor terrace. It was quite grubby and the outdoor tub didn’t look pleasant. In general, we are disappointed with the service from Athena travel services. On the first day I was optimistic when we were greeted well and transported to the accommodation. However, after this they were very inattentive and unresponsive about the issues with the bathroom (which is absolutely not fit for guests with the drainage issues). Even on checkout, they failed to inform us the office wouldn’t be open on the day of check out up until 1 hour before (I missed this message until later) so when I went to the office to drop the key off it was shut and I had to walk all the way back up the steps to leave the key on the room. Overall I wouldn’t recommend staying here until issues in the bathroom are fixed. Even then, I wouldn’t say it’s worth the money we paid.
