Blue Elegance City Center Heraklion Apartment

The host was wonderful, meeting us at the apartment, showing us how everything worked and making recommendations for restaurants, etc. The location was perfect. It was close to everything, especially great restaurants and the sea which we enjoyed from our balcony. The apartment was fully stocked and very comfortable. We enjoyed the bottle of wine and raki the host left for us.

The toilet area was somewhat cramped which may be a problem if you are a vey large person.

The location was great. It was a short walk to most of the attractions in the city. We had a water view from the balcony. The rooms were spacious. There was a lift at the property. And parking around the corner for 8 euro a day.

Our group loved Crete and this place made our travels enjoyable. This place was easy to find, only about a 10-minute drive from the port, and in a great location. We were able to reach many of the sights in downtown Heraklion by foot (10-15-minute walk depending on the destination). We rented a car to see some remote beaches and also check out Knossos and Chania on our own. When we were driving to other towns, it was easy to navigate and leave the city without a lot of traffic from the accommodation. The host helped us find a car rental and also a parking lot with reasonable daily parking prices. The parking lot was less than 5 minutes walk. The bedrooms are quite spacious and comfortable, and the kitchen is large and well-equipped, we didn't cook large meals during our stay but the host was kind to provide a blender for my wife's dietary restrictions. The living/dining area was also comfortable and well-appointed for a small family or a group of friends. The two restaurants downstairs are amazing and even though they are open until very late you can't hear any noise from the apartment. You won't regret staying here, it's a very comfortable and spacious apartment for a good price with everything you need.

We spent most of the time out and about so we kept forgetting to ask the host to provide more towels. They only provided one bath towel per person which may seem enough during a four-night stay but when you are hiking and walking all day in 80-degree weather, getting sweaty and dirty, sometimes you are showering twice a day, so the little towels weren't enough. I am sure the host would have provided more towels had we requested them but we kept forgetting. Everything else was wonderful.

Zacharias, the host was very friendly and professional all the time. Always willing to help in everything possible to make our stay the best. The location is unbeatable

Excellent spacious & comfortable space, well supplied with everything needed to start the holiday, good air-conditioning. Very well located for cafes & restaurants (with good food & drinks), shopping and laundries.

An awning for shade over the balcony would mean the balcony could be used - otherwise it was too hot.

Location was very good in the old city. Good restaurants were near.

It was far from bus station.

The personal touch by the apartment owner and the useful local advice he gave was so helpful during our stay. The apartment was very nicely decorated and immaculately clean. Fantastic location above 2 very authentic Greek bars/ restaurants. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Heraklion.
