Balliu Apartment

there are several things I like Balliau Apartment: 1. the host Aleksandra is very nice. her sister is very helpful at the site 2. the whole host family is very nice. they have water, eggs, bread, butter, jam, ham in the fridge which you don't need to look around for the first day of arrival. Neighbour is very nice too. my husband was invited for a drink and chat chat with the neighbour. 3. I'm a very picky person on cleanliness. This apartment is very clean. 4. The apartment is not at the busy hub Adamas, the port area. It's better to rent a car in Milos, this apartment location is good to access to different beaches. It's quiet at night and morning which you will find it very comfortable. 5. the decor is nice.

I didn't like I only stayed her for 2 nights. We should spend at least 3 nights at Milos. It's such a beautiful island with very warmhearted people.

What an absolute gem of an apartment- do not hesitate to book this place- it is the best place I have ever stayed. The hosts are wonderful- a lovely family who are so friendly and helpful. The apartment is very large, exceptionally clean and has so many thoughtful details like a few groceries stocked in the fridge, including fresh eggs. We have so many special memories of Milos but this place we called home for a few days is the main reason.

We can't say enough good things about Balliu’s place! The heartwarming and welcoming Balliu family went over and beyond to accommodate us, gave us plenty of recommendations for things to see and do on the island. The location and the apartment were immaculate, and as such highly recommended!

NOTHING EVERY THING WAS PERFECT

The hosts were extremely kind to pick us up from the dock and gave us treats during our stay. Amazing hospitality

Very kind owners picked us up from the airport. It would have been very difficult to find on our own. They left us lovely supplies for breakfast since they knew we were arriving after stores had closed on a Sunday.

The air conditioning in the main room failed on the first night and it wasn't a problem because there were cool breezes in July. However, because my daughter got sick, she slept on the couch and it was a bit uncomfortable in the evenings and on the last couple days when the winds died. The owners tried to fix that room a/c as soon as they could, but a replacement had to be shipped from elsewhere. Given that, it would have been nice if they had let us have a late checkout for free, but we had a very late flight and paid the extra to stay in the property since both my kids were under the weather at the time.

We enjoyed the location because we were in a quiet village that was close to many beaches and had easy access to the capital Plaka. The parents of the owner greeted us and left fresh eggs, the neighbours dropped off fresh home grown tomatoes, we felt very safe and welcome.

It was an amazing trip. I don't have anything negative to say.
