Oliva Beach Hotel

L’emplacement et les services, restaurants à proximité. Le ménage effectué chaque jour est un vrai plus. La propreté en général du logement ou la piscine, ainsi que l’intimité dans ce logement avec peu d’appartements. La literie et l’espace extérieur. L’attention pour le lit enfant et les jeux à disposition pour les enfants à l’extérieur. L’espace vert et le petit salon ombragé en extérieur est très cosy. De façon générale, ce logement est idéal pour des vacances reposantes et proche de la mer ayant toutes les nécessités à proximité. L’emplacement permet de visiter tout l’ouest de l’île. Une adresse que nous aurons plaisir à revenir!

Nous avons aimé la piscine très grande et avec un espace enfant mais elle restait un peu fraîche pour la période choisie. Nous aurions aimé en profiter un peu plus en matinée 😀.

Every consideration was given to our requirements and requests to ensure we enjoyed a comfortable and quiet stay in a newly refurbished room. Sofia was a 'hands on' host always available if required. We slept well in a comfortable bed and the bathroom was tastefully tiled with walk-in shower.

No complaints as such we just observed a stale water smell which seemed to originate from the 'newly laid grass turf so will likely disappear in time when watering is required less often.

La comodidad y la ubicación

El ruido del restaurante que había delante. No pude disfrutar de la terraza porque por la noche el ruido era insoportable.

Alojamiento y atención inmejorable, Sofia siempre atenta, la habitación con todos los servicios, la cocina tenía absolutamente todo lo que puedas necesitar, piscina limpia, nada de ruido en la noche, super acogedor, te sientes en casa. Ya teníamos un alojamiento cogido en la otra parte de la isla, sino hubiésemos alargado la estancia. Volveríamos sin duda.

No ha habido nada que no nos gustara.

We had a wonderful vacation staying in Oliva Beach hotel. It is located in a calm and cozy neighborhood, no crowds at all. We got a room on the top floor with a scenic sea view and a balcony where we usually had breakfast. The room has all the necessary facilities. They also suggest an olive oil from local farm in each room. It was very delicious, and we even bought a bottle to take it home. The room was especially clean, and the cleaning was done once in two days. There are couple of good restaurants with greek cuisine 5 min walk away (I would especially admit The Wave and Mythos). There are also some pebble beaches nearby. We had a car, so we usually traveled to sandy beaches (15 min ride to Platania and Agia Marina and 1.5 hours to Balos and Elafonisi). There is a good swimming pool with umbrellas and sunbeds. We found it especially useful during windy days when swimming in the sea was forbidden. Manager Sophia was also easy to communicate with.

Some of the facilities had minor issues (clothes dryer was broken, fire alarm malfunction), but I wouldn't consider them as major issues. Besides, it was said that the hotel will go under renovation at the end of 2025, so, I assume, those issues will be resolved.

Praticamente tutto, stanza molto bella e rifornita di tutto, persino del caffè, piscina bella, servizi ottimi, la lavatrice per esempio, piscina sempre pulita, pulizia della stanza tutti i giorni. Gentilezza dello staff, ottimo inglese, che dire tutto perfetto.

Forse la zona, ma non per l'Oliva Hotel, ma per tutti i mega hotels/resort attorno, la zona è in continua espansione e perciò meno naturale delle altre zone di Creta visitate.
