Perfect location, close to everything, it’s very clean as well. Staff was ok

Our terrace was not private at all, literally on the stairs. On the last day we waited 40 minutes for breakfast, they messed up the order twice. Had issues with the card, receptionist lady was not always there.

We booked this property based on its excellent Booking rating, but our experience in the villa/maisonette was extremely disappointing. It is important for future guests to understand that the villa appears to be hidden behind the high rating of the frontline suites. Most of the excellent reviews seem to refer to the seafront suites, while the villa we stayed in offered a completely different experience. Upon arrival, the property was far from clean and did not meet acceptable hygiene standards, especially for a family travelling with a one-year-old child. We requested cleaning multiple times, yet even after three separate cleaning attempts, the villa remained dirty. We also experienced issues with the hot water, which were only addressed later in the afternoon when the manager arrived with a plumber. What was particularly disappointing was the owner's response afterward. When the manager and plumber visited, I clearly explained that I had been alone with my baby and had not even had the opportunity to properly inspect the entire property upon arrival. However, in subsequent Booking messages, the owner claimed that I had told them the cleanliness was satisfactory. This was simply not true and was a misrepresentation of our conversation. To be fair, the owners agreed to refund the remaining nights and only charged us for the first night, which we appreciated. However, this does not change the fact that the cleanliness issues, maintenance problems, and misleading statements afterward made our stay extremely stressful. I would strongly advise future guests to carefully check whether they are booking one of the highly rated frontline suites or the separate villa/maisonette, as our experience was completely different from what the overall rating led us to expect.
