Apartment at the heart of Thessaloniki

The location of the house was really close to most of the attractions in Thessaloniki. The house owner was responding really quick to the messages and his instructions were really clear, we didn’t have any confusion. I strongly recommend this accommodation to any kind of traveller.

The apartment is in an excellent location, with a wonderful view of Egnatia Street from the terrace. The balcony doors provide good sound insulation, which is important since the apartment is on a busy street. The hosts were extremely kind and provided us with all the necessary information. Great value for money.

The building is old and the apartment has an improvised bathroom, but everything worked fine and it wasn’t an issue for us, especially since we stayed only one night.

Short: Booked for only 1 night, arrived at 10 PM, collected the keys, entered, stayed for 10 min, searched a hotel, found hotel, exited the location, put the keys back, called booking.com to report the deceiving description and pictures. I will just say to all future travellers that want to rent the place to read all the other negative reviews. They are true (about bathroom, toilet, shower, kitchen, furniture, cleanliness, not renovated since forever, coloured bed sheets - any respectable location is putting white sheets so it is obvious to anyone they are clean, and so on...). I did not do detective work to show how bad really looks, I was tired after 10 hour drive, the next day I had to drive another 12 hours. I will put also the host's answer to booking.com next morning after my complaint: "The guest is not answering to my messages. I sent him a message yesterday if everything is okay with his stay and he didn't answer. Instead, he complained to you. Sadly, we won't accept guest's request. We have uploaded new photos that present the apartment as it is. If you don't believe us, feel free to come and check for yourselves. Furniture is not old at all. We claim that the apartment is retro style but we wont accept being accused of having fake photos or old furniture. The guest could have informed me if he had a problem and i would do my best to help him. However, now, i wont accept his request. He is trying to scam us in order to have a free stay. I want booking.com to protect me from this guest because he will be writing a vengeful criticism. I hope my request can be achieved."

Bathroom a bit small
