Smarula Villa

The breakfast was good, quite nice, actually...it was delivered by the Proprieter's wife - She had a kind soul. However, the husband Proprieter did not - not at all.

1. I accidently booked the incorrect 2 days there. 2. Booking.com suggested I call or email the Proprieter. 3. I emailed the Proprieter that I had accidently booked the wrong 2 days, but IF HE would allow me the credit for the paid amount for 2 days, instead I wanted to book 3 days - therefore an extra day for the property. 4. The Proprieter agreed to this via email - and I thanked his graciousness. 5. Next, he emailed me to say that there would be No Credit - saying he had misunderstood. 6. Then, he called me by phone to say to just come to the property, and he would work things out fairly on this matter. 7. When I arrived, I asked him for an appointment time to discuss the matter. He was evasive about giving me a day & time. 8. Next, I asked him IF we could discuss this right away. He merely said, There will be No CashCredit. He wants to charge me over $700 (includes 2 nights error)for 3 nights stay which was $468 - highly excessive!! This is a bait&switch man who is consumed by Pure Greed. 9. Thereafter, he sent his wife only to my room, trying to offer me a business card, hand-written, unsanctioned by Booking.com, for free-stay next visit...I hadn't been to Greece in 20 yrs. 10. RUN - do not walk - Away from this Man's Smarula Villa IF you value your hard-earned money.

Location of the accomodation; the most welcoming and hospitable host! Host delivered breakfast every morning, and helped booked transport for pick up and drop offs.

The location and super friendly owners. Very helpful and kind. We had the big ground floor room, 2 bedrooms and private big balcony. Breakfast was lovely and fridge well stocked with water and sometimes a lovely bottle of wine which was a treat :-)

The view was disappointing as you look at air vents from the next door building. Some plants would be a good addition to make the view nicer. And maybe a proper plunge pool rather than a blow up one. The shower could do with a hook on the wall so you didn’t have hold the shower head.

Love the location…beautiful stroll to the bus stop. In between Fira and Oia

Location was to our liking, great views of the Aegean Sea and parts of the caldera at Santorini. The room service was of a very high standard and the hosts were amazing people!

We had a great stay at Smarula Villa. Perfectly located, close to the caldera and all beautiful views. Wojtek, the owner, was great! He helped us with everything one could possibly need, including with renting a car and planning a transfer to the ferry port, but also with different suggestions of restaurants and beaches to go to.
