Needed lots of refurbishment

Beautiful spot, lovely welcoming atmosphere, old building converted into little apartments with a roof top terrace. Host, Sarah was wonderful, helpful and accommodating and has put heart and soul into her hotel. The area is steeped in history and there are lots of places to explore. My only regret was that I couldn’t stay longer. Also, to get the best out of a stay a car is needed to get around. All in all a great experience.

The room is in a lovely old building with fantastic views over the countryside to the sea. There were lots of outside areas with comfortable seating where you could relax or eat. We loved the exit at the back and the walk through the narrow streets up to the main square. Parking was easy on the main street above the house. Sarah provided us with a map of the village with areas of interest marked on it, which was very useful. The kitchen area was tiny but adequate.

The shower curtain in the bathroom wasn't long enough, which meant that the bathroom floor ended up very wet and slippery.

The location is fantastic if you are looking to spend time in the creten mountains. Views from the property amazing . The host Sarah was welcoming , friendly and helpful. Quirky property with beautiful gardens. Would visit again .

Some might consider the distant seas vistas, mountains and gorge views, churches dotting the landscape, and the Tuscan style village winding its way around the hillside as ideal. We, however, had hoped for Minoan ruins atop at least one of the hillsides and would suggest that the village council consider their future construction. I must say, the Lappa Apartments host family were extremely kind and gracious even when my partner decided to use their glassware for Cretan crockery smashing practice. Nothing was too much trouble. Cat’ering manager Paddington was particularly welcoming and we enjoyed his clipped and concise conversation as he enthusiastically jumped from one task to the next. In short, Lappa Apartments was a wonderful place to spend time. Clean, spacious, stylish and with breathtaking views this is true value for money. Thank you to the family for making us so welcome and comfortable.

There could have been more glasses for my partner to smash

The building, and the room (I was in Antique) were completely charming, and situated in a beautiful mountain village. The views, especially from the roof terrace, are incredible. Owner Sara is brilliant; super friendly, helpful and approachable. This was a perfect, peaceful base, with an ideal central Cretan location for exploring the island. Make sure you eat at Taverna Archaia Lappa down the road!

Nothing worth mentioning. If you insist on the most up to date luxury mod cons, you should keep looking. But this place is comfortable, authentic, and a genuinely lovely experience.
