Het uitzicht is werkelijk fantastisch, waar voor je geld, vriendelijk en makkelijk contact met de eigenaar. Heerlijk rustig. Deze heeft ook een zeer goede massage voor me geregeld op de locatie.

Sommige zaken waren erg outdated, die zou men makkelijk kunnen upgraden (ik besef me heel goed dat de prijs relatief laag is doordat er juist geen upgrades zijn gedaan). De badkamers werden een beetje een waterballet.

Rhodes Retreat is a beautifully situated house on a hill, which overlooks the nearby town of Kalithies, but you can also see Faliraki from it. We stayed in the Persefoni apartment on the top floor, which had a large living room (with an extra bed) connected to a kitchenette, bedroom and spacious bathroom. The apartment has two terraces on both sides of the building. It is safe to say that you have a view of the sea, the pool and the mountains. There is something for everyone, and each terrace has its advantages. For example, on the one with a sea view (i.e. to the east) it is so hot in the morning that it is difficult to eat breakfast there despite the amazing view. The apartment is well-equipped. The kitchen has a microwave, hob, toaster, water filter and lots of kitchen utensils. In the bathroom there is even a washing machine (it works, we used it). The house, although large, is not divided into many small apartments. Which means that we practically passed other guests when we wanted to use the beautifully situated pool. In fact, most of the time we felt like we were the only ones there. The owners are interested in their guests, but they are not pushy, just genuinely helpful. Halfway through our stay (10 nights) we received fresh bed linen and towels. Overall: peace, quiet, harmony with nature and beautiful views - that's what we found at Rhodes Retreat.

The house, although beautiful, is already showing the passage of time. You can see it in the furniture and the condition of the floors. However, this is not a disqualifying issue. Rhodes Retreat does have problems with access to water. It happened to us so often (four times in total) that the owner finally explained to us where the fuses were by the entrance gate. All we had to do was turn the water pump on and off - and things would go back to normal. Be careful with the access - the last hundred or so meters (on one side, and even more on the other, because there are two access roads) are quite treacherous gravel at times. We had a flat tire, which apparently (according to the owner) happened for the second time in 10 years, but still. It is worth insuring them before coming here.
