TAKIS HOUSE

The house was amazing, had everything we needed and more, everything was set up perfectly for us when we arrived- wished we could have stayed longer!! The host was brilliant, very quick to respond and went out of their way to help us and make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable

It smelled bad outside from the garbage bins.

Its very near the port. A good choice for early ferry. The owner tried his best to help. A nice guy.

The door is very hard to open. Air conditioner starts slow.

The location was very handy for the ferry to KEFALONIA, so we used Takis House both ways. The facilities in the house were good. We enjoyed the use of the coffee making appliances and laundry facilities.

The beds were extremely hard. We had to fashion cushioning using blankets and quilts which still wasn’t enough. It was so bad we considered canceling our return stay. The air conditioner in one bedroom was very noisy and leaked water after a couple of hours of continuous use.

The proximity to the ferry was great. The room sizes, layout and bathroom were fine. Plenty of room for one individual in each bedroom and one in the living room. Lots of counter space in the bathroom for three people to share. The air conditioning was fine. The WiFi worked. There was a nice large dining room table with 8 chairs.

The front door key did not open the front door easily so each time we entered and re-entered we needed to turn the key back and forth until it decided to open. Initially there was a unpleasant odor in the flat which I assumed was from a cleaning product or some kind of artificial air freshener. The mattress in one bedroom was fine but the mattress in the other bedroom was very very hard and the living room couch/bed was too firm. There was no comfortable living room furniture, not even an arm chair. There was no filter coffee maker in the kitchen so we needed to walk to the bakery for coffee in the mornings. There were no screens in the windows. The bathroom shutter did not lock so there was no way to have both security and air in the bathroom while away or at night. There was a narrow side balcony but no veranda and no view.
