Gouves Garden Hersonisos Heraklion

Giorgos met us and showed us around his beautiful villa! It was perfect for our week of relaxing by the pool with everything we needed nice a close by. The weather on a few of the days were not very sunny but Giorgos suggested we take a drive to the south coast to Matalla which was a great recommendation! Really interesting caves and a great beach to spend they day.

Wspaniałe miejsce. 15 min autem od lotniska, Apartamenty czyste i wyposażone we wszystko co potrzebne. Ogròd przepiękny. W każdym zakamarku widać serce gospodarza. Georgios stara się żeby Twój pobyt był niezapomniany. Mieliśmy powrotny wieczorny lot i nie było problemu z pozniejszym wymeldowaniem. W rzeczywistości jest jeszcze piękniej niż na zdjęciach. Napewno wrócimy.

Absolutely everything was just spot on. The owners are incredibly friendly and the most responsive people we have ever had the pleasure to deal with. The property is accessible for people with mobility issues and although there is parking for 3 cars, we used the public transport system or taxi's both of which are very good and cheap. We were a family of 7 and found the apartments were brilliant for accommodating us all with plenty of room to spare. The villa is akin to a love Island villa with lots of spaces to relax in, there is a bbq, gym, vegetable garden, office desk area and of course the pool. George comes every 2/3 days to clean and maintain the pool to an excellent standard so we had absolutely no qualms about using it night or day as it was exceptionally clean. There are towels, adapter plugs, hairdryers in all bathrooms, ironing boards, Netflix, wifi, washing machines, clothes airers, a washing line and not forgetting little Daisy....George and Alexandra's gorgeous little puppy who if you're lucky, you will get to meet. The local shops are literally at the top of the track with a bakery, pharmacy and small supermarket for your water etc. The best supermarket to use is the one on the very short walk down to Gouves beach on the high street. It's absolutely fantastic with everything you need for your stay. While there, we ate at Knossos restaurant which has gorgeous food and Pella's on the sea front which was also fabulous with a slightly more extensive menu. We can recommend doing the pirate ship excursion in Herssonisos it's great fun and we used Orange Travel to also do a coach trip to Chania which was fantastic. We did a big shop at Lidl in Herssonisos and we used George's friend who drives a taxi to take us there and back...he is lovely and much cheaper than Uber. We left his card on the table in the Pomegranate apartment.

There is nothing to not like at Gouves Garden, the hosts are amazing as are the apartments/villa.

What a lovely place. The grounds are just so beautiful and if you like your open space this is the place to stay. Rented the whole complex so had access to each of the apartments, all of which were really clean, tidy and cosy with great facilities. Better if you have transport as the complex is situated off the main road via a dirt track but still can walk to the shops if you need anything. Owners were just so kind and helpful with anything we needed. Overall a great place to stay with the family and will definitely be going back again.

Georgios was a wonderful host, a true gentleman and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Gouves Gardens is a beautiful, clean, well maintained property with lots of gorgeous outdoor spaces to sit and relax. The property is fully fenced with a secure automatic front gate and has 3 lovely, spacious apartments (a studio, a one-bedroom and a two-bedroom) with comfortable beds and full bathrooms and fully equipped kitchens. We were a family of 8 people, had all 3 apartments and were very comfortable as we had the whole property to ourselves. The property is also in good location, close to the main road and only 15-20 mins to the Heraklion Port and Airport. We would definitely recommend this property to others and would love to stay again.
