To Maro

We had a very friendly welcome and were even allowed to check in earlier. The room was very clean and had a nice view over Kastro. We liked the location since it was perfect for exploring everywhere else on the Island. We rented a quadbike and the hotel had free parking.

The staff and the location

The location was amazing and the view spectacular. The room was beautiful and very clean, with balcony and access to terrace.

The cleaning lady was very polite and helpful as the owner was never around. The view was lovely and the weather was fabulous.

Hot water didn't work. We weren't told a car was crucial to getting around as hotel was quite isolated & lean bus/taxi service. Owner was neither present nor especially helpful. Front door was rotted and difficult to open/close. Fabric hanging above the bed was filthy and full of dust. The whole place was dilapidated at best.

Great sea views.

The location, it is not close to any beach or town, you have to have a vehicle or use the taxis, the buses are good, but not many, so difficult to return at night. The bed was bad, I hit my knee on the planks of wood that were put under the tiny double bed, it was nothing like the picture whe I booked, the bathroom over head shower sprayed water all over the ceiling and the door had mould because of all the water hitting it when you shower, the tv hardly showed any channels, which was disappointing as I wanted to watch the Euro football.

The location was in the middle of the island friendly and accommodating owners clean and quite area with view of Aegean

We consider Maro one of the best locations to stay in Sifnos as the property has the greatest view on the island, facing the Kastro. The room had all the necessary equipment and space for our stay, the balcony was great with an excellent view. We will never forget the hospitality of Maro and Rinio, they welcomed us and offered us delicious traditional treats. They also suggested where to swim and eat. Definitely, going back on our next trip to Sifnos!

Some room amenities could be upgraded in the future but this did not affect us at all as the accommodation had a great value for money.
