The location was great. It could have been a decent place with keeping it clean, applying proper insect control and keeping the house rules rules transparent (before booking). However, I had to give up within a few hours. In the end I was refunded 41.23 EUR by Booking versus the total amount of 274.90 EUR that I paid (not even counting how much I spent for my actual accommodation and the city tax that I had to pay for the same period elsewhere). Honestly, I don't know where the photo of the balcony in the present ad comes from. The room has only one French window without balcony.

Managed by an agency. I indicated my possible arrival time with data required for registration. Still on 24 August (I arrived on the 29th) I modified my arrival time and informed about a 45-minute timeslot when I would possibly arrive. There was no response. I arrived 15-10 minutes before the end of this time slot. There was nobody at the apartment. After waiting about 10 minutes, I rang the agency twice for long. Unresponded. Then I found the number of the owner. She informed me that she needs 5-10 minutes more to arrive. In 30+ degrees, humid air and after a whole day of travelling I was sweating in the building. She let me in the apartment, showed me the bathroom whether it is ok. After superficial observation it seemed like. She showed me where the wi-fi password is. Then she left. Upon trying to put my toiletries somewhere in the bathroom, I saw that everything is full of shaved (facial looking) hair. The floor was full of hair and dust. The shower was clogged. I tried to connect to the internet. There was an additional space in the password and some lower case letters were written in upper case or vice versa, so I had to ask the lady for the code. She sent it via sms. When I sat down at the kitchen table, I found the House Rules, which were not part of the booking conditions and contained that the guests are supposed to clean the floor, take out the dustbin on the last day and clean the dishes (the latter I understand and accept). It also contained outdated information that the official currency of Croatia is the kuna, and all payments are accepted in it. I went out for a walk, and when I returned, the worst came: I found an about 3-4 cm long cockroach on the curtain, 30-50 cm from the bed. I had to look for alternative accommodation late night, as Booking's customer service promised to get back to me in 9 hours. When handing back the keys, I explained the lady the issue with the House Rules, the cockroach and the dirt.

The apartment is clean but the lavatory is clogged. The door needs some repair. It squeaks and the door lock doesn't sit properly. Otherwise our stay was convenient. I should say that the landlady was very friendly and accommodating.

The apartment is situated on the second floor and there is no alevator. Bring things upstairs is tiresome.
