Studio Ricardo, Opatija

The room is located in the basement - there is a musty smell, very dark.

The location is nice. Walkable distance to the center and the beaches.

The apartment wasn't clean. We've let the owner know. He apologized but didn't do anything about it, so we had to live with a bathroom that clearly had marks from whoever was there before us. Also, there is mold everywhere.

Good location, and surprisingly quiet - only 5 minutes down to the town Centre. Clean with everything you need for a short stay (soap etc). Ricardo was very responsive to questions

The property is on great location near the centre of Opatija. It has both AC and heater, TV and well equipped kitchen. The only thing I would recommend bringing with you or asking the host are iron and hairdryer if you need one. Comfortable bed, new furniture. Easy communication with friendly host.

Pillows were really hard. Impossible to sleep on them.

This is more a case of 'you get what you pay for' rather 'this place is a bargain.' The apartment was a little under-equipped. No WiFi, which is just unacceptable, my phone signal in the apartment was sometimes too inconsistent and sometimes didn't work at all. No kettle in the kitchen, nor oven. I'm fed up of places not providing cooking oil, because I have to buy my own and then not use all of it, which is a waste of time (I didn't bother regardless). The sofa bed was only comfortable from one side. The other side was uncomfortable, my lower back sat on the frame of one of the parts of the sofa. I have stayed in AirBNBs that have sofa beds and the experience was much better than this. Just a few small things to change up would go a long way here.
